That is a nasty challenge, he knew what he was doing. Deserved red

"The red card was a joke," Ancelotti told BBC Sport.

"Maybe the fact that there was a lot of talk all week about Pickford and Richarlison against Liverpool affected the decision.

"We will appeal, to lose a player like Digne for three games like this is not fair."

Have a lot of respect for Ancelotti and the way he conducts himself, but seriously. I cannot believe anyone who watches football and sees that challenge can consider it anything other than a red. I'd expect remarks like that from Mourinho, but honestly Carlo. Come on.

I’m amazed that despite how dreadful Newcastle are, and however long it seems to have been since they last won a game they’re always at least 3 points above us in the league

They were the spawniest team last season. Seems it's continuing

Same with Palace. Often look so shit, but always above us in the league. Part luck (especially Newcastle - weren't they bottom of pretty much every stat last season?) but partly because of how often we played well but let points slip through our fingers

A bad loser’s challenge. Taking nibbles at KWP, following by a quite deliberate stamp on the achilles. These are highly skilled footballers, no way was it a failed attempt to get the ball.
Even more idiotic was Ancelotti talking pure prattish that it was nver a red card and that they were going to appeal, Hope the FA increase the ban for a frivolous appeal if they do.

The same can be said for Palarse. Fine margins . . .or consistently spawny gits.

The league is anyones this season, someone clicks, and they'll be up there . . . Its not inconceivable we could get a run going . . . Like VIllas start, or Everton . . .

Some Everton fans today were saying that before Ancelotti. An anti Everton media and football world, exerting pressure for cards today.

Today’s EPL officials may be crap, but in this case Digne carried out a nasty and snide foul, it’s a clear red in the modern era.

There are occasions where the old ‘circling the wagons’ post match routine is cringy.

Total bobbins from the "expert pundits". Digne had a go at stopping him and missed, then caught up and made damn sure of it. Accident my left bollock. As you say Westy, there was NO attempt at the ball, he was a mile off.

Some of these goons in the studio are absolutely stealing a living.

Correct. Nasty, intentional piece of work. Good reffing.
