Conor Gallagher being named captain is a perfect microcosm of everything that’s wrong with this Chelsea team. Young, inexperienced and mentally weak.

He did the same at Spurs with Ryan Mason and a few other youngsters, it worked because the older heads were toxic

Not sure it's going to work when you've had 1 billion spent on the squad

He's made the same amount of league appearances as their actual captain mind. They don't have experience, that's the problem.

They have silva at the back, he would be a better captain? Surely?
Problems there according to the Telegraph this week. Not afraid to disagree with Pochettino’s decisions and sulk if he doesn’t get his own way. Sounds like Poch needs him out altogether rather than promoting him, which is a big issue.

Yes. I guess. They've got a lot of excellent academy graduates who have played a hell of a lot of games for their ages. Choosing a 39 year old Silva who we know is outspoken isn't that straightforward. Sounds like a tricky situation as it was for Potter.

Not only that, it felt like they spent the entire summer trying to get rid of him.

They did the same with Pulisic and others, tried to sell them all Jan and expect them to perform as first choices.

Chairman apparently stormed into changing room
