Is this the longest run Bielsa’s Leeds have gone without a win ?

Will be interesting to see how he deals with this as a manager- something that he hasn’t had to deal with before.

A real test for the ‘greatest manger in the world’

He was unbeaten at Lazio!

From a BBC write up on Bruce's torrid evening:-

For all the relief he got from Allan Saint-Maximin's equaliser and delight from his team's improvement after they were ripped apart by Marcelo Bielsa's side for much of the opening half, it does make you wonder if it is all worth it

Were they?

It's certainly not how I remember the half.
Ripped apart suggests one way traffic, I saw 2 teams with no desire to keep the ball for longer than 3 passes run up and down the pitch.

The Leeds had more chances but Newcastle had at least 3 good chances, not bad from a team in tatters.

How stupid is the Wolves 5? He did that for the first corner as well. Not in any way subtle and nailed on penalty.

How the hell does that wolves defender expect to get away with rugby tackling Toni from a corner?

Handball :lolol:

No arm movement towards the ball, nonsensical rule IMO, what are you meant to do cut your arms off?

I suppose that is VAR working to the rules but never handball for me.

I always thought pre VAR handball had to be a clear deliberate movement towards the ball to gain advantage or having your arms miles out from your side, it clearly hits his upper arm but there’s no movement towards the ball.

It’s the rule being applied correctly but can’t say I agree with it.

It does normally but when a goal is scored any handball, even accidental, means the goal will be disallowed.

Wolves look awful, they are leaking chances and only offside/handball is stopping them being 4-0 down at home. You can get 14's on Lage being the next PL manager to be sacked, might be some value in that.

It was - but there were so many cock ups made with VAR they went with any touch of the arm/hand in the movement of scoring.

Makes our result against Brentford look even better, Wolves back line have allowed Toney to bully them.

That’s an easy one.

They were able to rugby tackle Burn in the box last season and no Premier League Official batted an eyelid. It’s just poor refereeing consistency but you can’t blame them for trying that trick again.

Quite.

Right decision, but the whole consistency thing is ridiculous.

Brentford have been great so far this season. We got a great win although fortunately Mbuemo was poor vs us.

For them to currently be as it stands 2W - 2D and 1L is great for a promoted team. Only conceded 2 also!
