Disappointing result.

We have to remind ourselves there’s still a lot of games to play yet. Get a couple of wins and everything changes.

Keep the faith.

They have Chelsea at home next, which they will fancy. Us and West Brom towards the end of the month (both away). If things go well for them they'll have pulled away. Fingers crossed that doesn't happen.

No one can shirley deny this.

At some stage we need to turn the “well, that was a promising performance from the defence and midfield, it augurs well for the coming games”, into actually winning some of those coming games.

I’m by no means a doom mongerer, but this has been coming for months. 5 wins in our last 36 league games, Fulham started the season in abysmal fashion and were getting thumped left, right and centre. They are now firmly on our tails and are one positive fixture from overtaking us. Something needs to happen sharpish or we are going to drop sadly.

Let’s hope Sheffield have not suddenly worked out how to win.

I suppose the worrying thing is we are suddenly expecting us to start winning games, when we have won precious little games in the last two seasons.

It is not the end of the world yet, but our next game against l***s is starting to look like one that losing could be very bad indeed.

Fulham are really impressive. Very powerful. Very quick.
Anguisa is a really dynamic midfielder and with Lemina (who is injured but due back any time soon) they are very solid in the middle, but it's the way they break that is really impressive. All their players seem to be rapid. Loftus Cheek gives them a bit of guile, Lookman is very tricky. Reid is very underrated IMHO and a decent finisher.
Anderson is a real leader at the back. Very good GK.
They're a decent team, I really can't see them going down.

Newcastle are the ones IMHO.

Newcastle? We never get within 5 points of them, they always scab the odd win here and there and keep themselves out of danger.

Indeed. Time and time again, we've been given chances to sort this out and we've f***ed up.

Fulham were a joke in their first few games, collectively NSC (including me) said they were down.

Then under the radar they bought/borrowed almost an entire new first team at the end of the window, their defence completely replaced. Few people noticed that. Turning them into not a bad defence, with an array of attacking at pace threats.

Regarding us, definitely. Losses and draws for months on end, meaning you rely on three other teams being equally non-winning, will bite any club as a season pans out.

If we don’t sign a LB and CF, TB will be making yet another poker-faced gamble.

Well it’s getting more obvious each game, if we don’t go and find a top striker this transfer window and also find some backbone, this season will end in tears.

There are NOT three teams that are worse than us

Fulham quick and strong, looked the likely winner. It's possible both Fulham and ourselves stay up but we're in a relegation league of 6 teams. Spurs, really frustrating, look great and then bang average.

At this stage of the season it's not about us v Fulham. It's about us getting back on track to get 40 points and our next two games will be vital in that.

I tend to agree. Tbh I very much doubt Fulham will go down - they are better than Newcastle, Burnley, probably better than Palace, and perhaps better than us. It looks like West Brom & Sheff Utd are down, but the 3rd place is really up for grabs. It's going to be interesting!

I think i'd have chosen a different, more emotion led, adjective.

This is the way I see it.

Way too early to call it a 2 horse race.

WBA aren't done. Not ruling out Palace or Leeds slipping into trouble.

The quality of those loan signings- Areola, Aina, Anderson, Lemina, Loftus Cheek, Lookman is really impressive. Those aren't squad members, they're quality internationals. Anderson joined Lyon for £30 million Euros.

Fulham looking decent - we must improve and begin to get the 3-pointers that will allow us to decide our own fate.

WBA?
0-9 last 2 games (both home) and just lost to Blackpool in the cup?
It will be a MIRACLE if they stay up.

I love it when people completely write off teams so early on. There is far too long to go yet - lots of twists and turns to go. We've got to get some bloody wins on the board soon, though, that's for sure.
