Christ they don’t half set a low bar over at cpfc.org - most of them feel that was a better performance (23-77 possession!)
Looks like they might stick with Roy a little longer and ditch the banners for now. Good.

Circling the wagons against a mocking outside world, of almost everyone.

These were the :wanker: faux ultras:wanker: who gathered at 9am Wetherspoons West Street at 9am on Sunday 4th, ‘the boss’ posted on twitter about the missing Albion.

Almost every week, the comedy delivers.
9a.m on Sunday the 4th? 9a.m the morning after the game? 9a.m the morning after a Saturday night? What exactly were they expecting to happen at 9a.m on a sunday morning?

Personally would have preferred a draw ., Chelsea right on our tails now....
Anyone wanting palace to help us out v Chelsea, mid way through February, has had their head in the sand a little too long regarding how the Albion are playing.

Didn’t watch, did Gallagher show any respect after scoring? Why do I think he probably didn’t?

I've been thinking about this for a while, celebrating a goal against one of your former clubs. When did all this bollocks start? 80s? 90s? 00? I just don't think it's a big deal, score and be happy! If you can't take that, well ...

Nah, I prefer the respect thanks. It was gutting to see Murray score for Palace at the Amex, not celebrating wildly made it marginally more bearable.

FFS Murray

At the other end of the scale John Byrne deliberately missing an open goal (probably) for Sunderland and then winking at the North stand was brilliant.

I agree, it’s all very silly and self-regarding. Big gesture - no I’m not going to celebrate against my old club. See how noble I am.

Who cares? Yuk it up, it’s all part of the panto.

I can understand it if you have had a long association with the club, but you often only find out that a player ever played for the club, when their hands go up in apology after scoring.

Colwill's apology against us was completely unnecessary.
He was a Loanee who went back to his parent club. Played for us 17 times.

I don’t mind when it’s quietly understated.

But these days it’s often a case of ‘please look at unsmiling me, shrugging off team mates’.

Jeez. They can't win now can they. Celebrate and get vile abuse from former fans. Don't celebrate and get accused by people like you of only doing it for the cameras!

Give them a break. I think it is a respectful touch and maybe, JUST MAYBE, they actually mean it and have genuine affinity with the fans who used to sing their name.
