Plus the fact that Robertson deliberately passed the ball to Allison who picked it up on his own goal line and Friend didn’t give anything.

Not giving the penalty to Ings settled that game because it would have been 1-0 to Southampton with them playing well. Instead Liverpool went straight down the other end in the same passage of play and scored. One of those moments that teams like us and Southampton just never seem to find goes their way at the big grounds.

It was Kevin Friend, you know the ref who gave every 50/50 to Liverpool at the Amex last season, including a penalty that wasn’t to win the game, as well as every free kick bar 4 or 5 to them too. No surprise at all to me, I think he’s a closet Liverpool fan

Without wishing yet another an all out anti and pro scouse NSC binfest, MOTD also clearly showed Firmino ready to head in centre goal from one foot (before the Ings no pen), then the Stains defender held him down on both shoulders to prevent an opener. For once, Lineker and the panel were united on both no pens as awful decisions.

Were his team winning by any chance?

Just really bugs me. It's like they are a spectator suddenly asked to come on. If I was a manager I'd insist my subs were ready and properly dressed to react. They even need an ipad or a folder to explain how to play ffs

Spurs 2-0 up against City, two shots two goals one of them with a deflection. Anyone would think they were playing the Albion :lolol:

Looking at the fixtures, Liverpool could win the league in mid-March. Could beat the record by almost a month.

Agreed. Perhaps yet another law is required, that game carries on regardless if not ready, putting the gamesmanship team at a disadvantage.

Cynically I don’t think the drawn out process is an accident.

Is this the day that Liverpool effectively win the title?

They would need one hell of an implode to lose it from here.

Beating ManU, who were set up to be spoilers, was significant.

Guardiola will go all out CL now, perhaps resting key players for some PL matches, which could favour some relegation battle clubs.

They only need to win 6 of their remaining 13 games to win the title as it stands. Unlike the year of the Gerrard slip there is no one putting any pressure on them at all. I think they’ll have it sewn up in less than 6 games time as Man City continue to drop points.

Welcome back, a happy day for you!

Guardiola’s talking it up. I prefer the under the radar approach by managers and directors.

Annoyingly had to work so only caught bits - however it seemed only issues they caused was down to our errors.

They haven’t got the defence, his record recently in the CL is very poor

I thought you might have a ST. I know genuine life long Spuds fans in Crawley, who bought a couple of their Club seats for the new WHL.
