Cheap transport from the airport with a2b transfers (think that's their name) used them before and very reasonable indeed. Train is also very cheap and direct (if memory serves me correctly) from Faro.

Great news. Far too many years of failing to impress against the likes of Worthing and Crawley in pre-season and everybody just assuming that the players were treating it as a training exercise. Then ten games into the season realising that the team were actually outplayed in pre-season because they were shit. If the club are serious about being contenders for promotion next season, they need to be stretching the players a bit for decent performances in pre-season.

Agreed;I have certainly felt that the pre-season matches of the last few years have been little more than a series of unambitious non-events.

The downside having checked it out after it being confirmed at the reserves game, is that hotels are expensive thenand of course the Euro makes food and drink expensive.

According to rac route planner it is 1350 miles from Calais about 20 hours drive.
