Where is it?

Mine is down to 5 currently, from a 9 not long ago. Potentially losing two of my favourite players in WBG and Facundo being the main reason. I get they may not suit FH’s style and tactics though.

Our early season games look very tough for a new manager and change in tactics.

Broadly positive and hopeful.

Quite glad the manager has a clear view of what he wants and who he needs, even if it means some decent players moving on.

Lots of the new players look very exciting though, Minteh in particular. And excited to see promising players like Adingra, Baleba, Barco, Sarmiento, Enciso, Pedro and Hinsh kick on

Full back cover I think is currently our biggest weakness. That and the fact that losing someone of the quality of Pascal Gross's will inevitably mean we will lose goals and assists (and turns)

I am really concerned about our defence at the moment, most of the Premier teams will have a field day ,
QPR created some good chances, in Japan we so open for the counter attack,
as far as I can see we are so lacking in pace at the back , and physicality, teams will either beat as for pace or just brute force

You watching a different game to me. QPR didn't create one quality chance in the whole game. The idiot on My albion tv kept referring to their only chance in the first half when the player was flagged offside - THAT IS NOT A MISSED CHANCE.

9.

Our young talent is looking INSANELY good. Some existing young talents look like they're stepping up - Baleba, Barco and Minteh looks the real deal.

So far, we've managed to keep our super star players (Mitoma, Pedro, Dunk to name a few).

Looks like Verbruggen is likely to be our main keeper this season, which was one of my main criticisms of last season.

The new gaffer seems like he's going to play exciting football, and seems generally quite likeable.

Could be the strongest Albion side EVER. Predicting a top 10 finish.

You are right but with faster and better quality players they would have opened us up quite often on the counter imo. I guess the Everton game will prove or disprove our defensive frailties. We do have quite a few players to come back though.

We've been missing almost as many players in pre-season (injured or otherwise unavailable) as we had out last season, so no real idea of what the team at Everton will look like. My expectation levels as things stand at the moment are lower than they have been for a while. Maybe that's just the worrier in me ................... maybe ............. I hope!

5 - and that's stretching it.

Did they?

I must have missed those (probably because the game was so poor I nearly nodded off)

5 - Hopefull, but worried about the defence. Our biggest problem last season and not one signing in that area, yet.

An upper bottom half finish would though be fine by me for FH's 1st season.

The most curious thing..
Only six due to new manager unknowns and potential player sales.

It might get better once the season starts, unless we go full Hinshelwood.

Seemed very open at the back in Japan. JPVH and Dunk are good but not that good so pleasing to see we priortised a clean sheet V QPR. So sloppy in defence lasy year particularly when leading and comfortable.

Bit worried about CM with Weiffer and Milner as seemingly the best options. 30 year old Milner would have been great. Sad Billy is off and no Pascal as he would have been perfect there. Like Hinsh but not sure he is good enough for centre midfield in the PL (yet).

Oh well. Its never dull and really think Fab will get us ticking at somepoint.

3 from me. Lots of personnel changes with youngsters coming in, new style, new manager. If 1 of these goes wrong, it will be troublesome, 2 potentially meh season, 3 relegation threat. But the range of possibilities is wide, so it might all click.

My biggest worry that we're preparing for pre season without a fair few of our first team squad around (or not yet signed) which means we won't hit the ground running, I know most teams have had to deal with similar issues but with a new manager and tactics I fell it will have a fairly negative impact.

Verbruggen, Dunk, Estupiñan, João Pedro, March, Enciso and Ferguson.

That's important 7 first team regulars not partaking in full training.

About 5 at the moment. Then again, it’s hot in the garden, England vs the windies has just been on telly and we are the middle of an Olympics…..football is a distant memory.

I’ve gone for 4, I must admit the new coach concerns me at the moment, I’m sure the players have bought in more than I have though. Hopefully a solid start to the season will allay my fears and send the mojo rocketing again.
