Hasn’t done us any harm has it? I suspect friendlies are a pain in the ar** for clubs unless they are big money spinners such as tournaments in Saudi, Asia, US.

Did we visit Le Havre more than once? Normandy seemed to be the extent of our overseas tour in those low budget years.
