Yes you can drive from Faro, about an hour and a half to two hours at a guess

RyanAir flights from Stanstead.

45 minutes south of Seville.

Not as hot as Seville as closer to the coast but still pretty hot.

Hotels will be more expensive than Seville.

Beautiful city, home of sherry making and the Andalucían horses.

Not sure it's the right place for a bunch of football hooligans though!

And Xerez (correct spelling) play in blue and white stripes!

I haven't heard about Cádiz, I suspect not. At the moment they are pushing for promotion, they would have got it yesterday if they had beaten the bottom club at home but they only drew. One more game to go so they should be OK. But then it's a drawn out play off (no automatic promotion from Segunda B as it's regional). So they may not be thinking about pre season yet. In any case, the season starts later here than it does in UK.

There is a big pre season tournament in Cádiz every year in early August, it would be great if we could play in that but not this year.

I'm not sure a friendly against lower league minnows like them will help our pre-season, to be honest. We could always send an "Albion XI", like we do when the first team have bigger fish to fry.

How can Pompey afford this trip when they're still not paying their staff, by the way?
