Heading up tomorrow on the coach, last time I went to Villa away we popped into the Barton Arms for a refreshing beverage before the game but it looks like it's closed on Mondays. Anyone got any recommendations, I will have two kids with me (9 & 12 they're used to pubs) and my father-in-law who probably can't walk too far. Thanks

Was going to ask the same question. Also on the coach and not been to Villa since the Poyet FA cup game. No kids so just somewhere for beer and food.

Last time I went it was split, a separate area with the courtyard for away fans.
Time before that it was closed.

For a lot of people the key is obviously a short walk to the stadium, and the Witton certainly provides that.

Witton Arms has been refurbished I believe. Not sure there is anywhere around the ground for Away fans anymore.
Plenty of options in or around Birmingham New street for those on the Train. The old joint Stock or the Head of Steam are 2 good options.
Ignore the Shakespeare and Trocedero which are Villa pubs.

Witton Arms Seema to be home fans only. Nothing specific on Facebook page but from memory I'm sure it is and this seems to suggest so as well.

The Barton Arms normally let away fans in and it is open again. Don't complain it's a shit hole though. Beggers can't be choosers.It is always open for Villa games and will be open tomorrow even though it is normally shut on Mondays.

We've just rang Witton Arms and it's home fans only likewise all pubs within 15 mins walking from Villa park. We are thinking of the Digger Inn on Moor Lane which is about 20 min walk to Villa park. Was advised that away supporters generally go to spoons in city centre.
