calling someone a negrito IN LATIN AMERICAN CULTURE is not rascist......the english, who colonised countries, shot indians, blacks, had slaves etc etc was all very rascist. But brush all that under the carpet, and lets go for a young man who has not adjusted to england yet fully.

Even with all that to one side, Kenny's player had told him and his club that he was going to shake the players hand. As insignificant as that maybe, he broke that trust, and for his own ends tarnished the name of his manager and football club. As I just posted, I felt really sorry for Kenny yesterday, he backed his player to the hilt, and asked him to do just one small thing and he broke his word and didn't do it. I suspect behind the scenes, Dalglish went ballistic.

A pointless thread from a pointless poster. How you get from a great away day for the club and Albion supporters at one of europes (until recently) top clubs, to British colonialism beggars belief.

I cannot really explain the way I feel about mancs, regarding football.
However I can only say that I was embarrassed to be a football fan on Saturday, let alone a LFC one. I will be at Anfield, and I only hope that Albion fans can do what neither LFC or the manc fans could do and show the game some respect by leaving things be.
For good or bad I don't think we will see Suarez at Anfield next season so I want to enjoy his time left here and see a great player do what he should do best.

As to not shaking his hand, he lied to the club, Kenny and his teamates which is why he will be sold in the summer. Time to move on, nothing more to see.

Sensible posts. In fact, I was driving on Saturday morning and the most enlightening discussion I heard on the whole thing was FiveLive had a fanzine editor from Liverpool, and one from United. The 2 of them to be fair, while clearly having great resentment towards each other's teams, also had great respect. Both made really poignant points. It was a credit to them both, and to be fair the majority of fans I suspect.

Gus has said, words to the effect of:-

'We've sold out the ground, I don't have to please the fans'.

He's not wrong, there's only 1 person Gus has to answer to.

I get what you're saying, although I can't see the Dirty Leeds supporters taking such comments so favourably if Mr Poyet ever takes over at Elland Road.

A line needed to be drawn, and with the apologies yesterday (albeit enforced) that line is drawn. We should get on with supporting the striped gods, and not worry about the shit with Suarez. As for diving all over the place, then he is fair game for stick for that. As far as upsetting Gus, I think the only way we would upset him, is complaining about his style of football, and that would only be done by a small minority of morons.

500 views in half hour pretty much places your claims of pointless firmly up your backside sir.

poyet has rarely said too much about the brighton fans, in fact, he has been pissed off with them a few times.

on sunday if everyone hammers suarez, one of poyets mates, i feel this wont do poyets long term chances of wanting to stick around any good.

have a think before you slag off suarez sunday lucky ticket holders.

All this talk of not upsetting Gus in case he leaves is a bit precious IMO. Granted Poyet is one of the best things to happen to the club in a very long time but he is not bigger than the club and it’s aspirations, if Poyet has a flounce and walks off or goes for a bigger job he will leave the door open for one of the most attractive vacancies outside of the top flight (and yes I’m serious with that statement).

Just because Gus has transformed this club in a short space of time, with Blooms considerable backing I must add, doesn’t mean he’s immune to criticism of his outspoken and controversial views.

It's got nothing to do with us and has been going on for far too long already. Surely that's the main reason not to bait him?

"Sign on, sign on, with a pen, in your hand...." has also been going on for far too long already, however I 100% GUARANTEE you will hear it at least once on Sunday. Of course people will go for Suarez- to be honest, even if it doesn't start out like that, his diving and gamesmanship will soon rile people to the extent that it is inevitable abuse will be dished out.

Good player, but an appalling cheat. I remember how much he threw himself to the ground and cried to the ref at the Amex, and that was long before the whols Evra thing happened. So don't expect Sunday to be any different, assuming he plays.

So you're saying that Poyet has no particular regard for BHA fans but that we should tread around him on eggshells just in case we piss him off? Utterly absured - give Suarez as much grief as you can I say just to piss Poyet off.

I think it’s pretty obvious that Poyet doesn’t have the regard for Albion fans in the same way Slade or Mcghee did but that's not really the point, if people feel compelled to abuse Suarez they should do so and not feel obliged not to in case they upset Gus.

Poyet is just like a pub landlord down my favourite boozer, great that he’s here but his tenure is finite unlike the boozer that will always be there.
