I think this is spot-on. I guess most of us were thinking we'd have half a dozen players signed by the morning of 1st January....

There's as much chance of us signing anyone anytime soon as there is of the Falmer Project Team answering your 'awkward' question about the stadium capacity - 'officially' it's 22k and 'officially' (as far as residents of Falmer are concerned) it's staying that way.

I’m not fussed if he doesn’t buy anyone. Rather he waited and got players in the summer (If he’s still here) and got the players who’ll strengthen the team and for a reasonable prise instead of thinking, shit, two days left and need some players as I said I would.

If he can find a good stallion then fantastic but not a Donkey and for over inflated prices and waste what money we have.

If there’s no one out there then keep the cash in the pocket. :)

Saturday's game will be OFF, as will the Walsall one.
Any new player will probably be cup-tied for the Villa game, and only rugby matches get to go ahead at Edgely Park at this time of year.

The next game that any new signing is likley to be able to play in is home to Millwall, on 30th. I really don't see what the panic is about...

That is a very valid point. There is less need to rush now so why panic. Also, it said in the Argus yesterday that Poyet still hoped to have new player(s) on board for the Brentford game so it may be this week. The problem with some people is they would rather we rush in and signed any old rubbish just so we can say we have signed someone.

Remember Jimmy McNulty last year. We picked him up on the last day of the transfer window and when fit he has been a great signing.

"Keep the cash in the pocket" and get relegated? We are sitting just above the relegation zone as a result of Slade and this squad's performances so far this season. Thrashing Wycome (in the second half) and struggling past Torquay hardly makes them world beaters who are certain to stay up!

If you think that we don't need to strengthen the squad you must be simple.

Yep, that's a signing, on the SEVENTH. You can all relax now.

Carry on.
