Just taking a final walk around the ground after leaving the brilliant post-match bacchanalia in the North stand, suddenly the great man and Tanno are walking towards me and my wife near those legends banners. He notices us staring at him rather star-struck, comes over, shakes both our hand and says "Hi guys! Sorry about the sending off!" with a huge cheesy "what, me?" grin on his face.

I can't even begin to say what a legend I thought he was even before this. I'm starting to think he's actually the messiah. AND a naughty boy, for kicking those bottles. Brilliant.

Did you see him on TV when the FA official tried to tell him he was sitting too close to the dugout when he was in the stand - in the row immediately behind the dugout? Gus just shook the guys hand off his arm and carried on. Gus is a god.

To deal with the situation, he timed his anger release to perfection.
Surely only a god can perform such miracles -
