Would have liked it to have been 3-0, so he could have given him 25mins. But was not going to risk him at 2-1....errrr ok. That makes perfect sense. Is a fantastic talent like Vicente exactly what we needed with 20mins to go, instead of dropping deep and inviting them on???. Funny how people see things in a different light. All I know is if we had conceded again late on, it would have been a massive blow to our play off hopes, hence winning today and only moving up one place and still being three points away from 6th, although now three point ahead of Derby. Home draws will be like defeats from here on in.

Yeah, he's exactly the sort of player you want when you're defending and scrapping to hold onto the win. No.

If we had snatched a 3rd goal when there was 3 or 4 chances in the space of 10 seconds then The Amex would have experienced a 20 minutes masterclass from Vicente.

Perhaps you should forward your CV to Tony Bloom, I reckon you'd be much better than Gus. Easily.

Funny how people see the game differently. I always believe the best form of defence is attack, the opposition can't score if the ball is in their own half and your in possession.

Shame. I certainly would have enjoyed just that. Hopefully he's good for a cameo in the fourth round

I'm looking forward to 15 minutes of Vicente time next week at Birmingham :O

You might have a point if we had conceded. And that's being generous.

Vicente wasn't even there today!

That guy warming up was a stand in, hence the 30 layers of clothing and headgear!

He was definately there. Signed my son's shirt and gave him his game shirt as well. It's hanging here whilst I type.

Top bloke, my lad is over the moon!:clap2:

Gus is right. Why risk a player who has been out injured for so long in the last 20mins of a scrappy game. He will want to ease him back into playing, not send him into battle for 20mins and risk another injury.

Ultimately Gus was proved right and that's all that matters today, but how different things would be if we had conceded like a lot of people were thinking was on the cards. Fact is the game should have been out of sight. That said, over all in the main it was a good performance today and we seem to be clicking again...It's so dejavu of last season it's unbelievable. Let's just hope the end is different this year.

f*** me what a colossal moaner. Had to find something about today to complain about didn't you. Today wasn't right for Vicente - as Gus said, if we were 3-0 and coasting, give him a run out.

So we are wasting a space on the bench in the event we are 3 up and coasting a game??? Christ on a bike, i'm so sorry that I don't think it's fantastic just to see Vicente in a bobble hat and three layers of clothing, standing on the sidelines rubbing his hands together to stay warm. I clearly expect to much from him. We should all be so grateful to him, just for even being here in the first place.

Did you leave that kitchen table at the pier and can you remember the words to My Old Mans a Dustman?
