Nothing like an NSC over reaction this article is nothing more than a bit of advertising remembering that its the Evening (London) Standard they are just looking for an London centric angle Gus simply says he would like to manage at the top level one day and the article compliments his time at Brighton. His comments on managing specific teams is illustrating that because he has links with some team he would not want to rule anyone out, more than saying I want to manage Leeds because no of us admit to wanting to improve our jobs!

Nothing article but nice bit of publicity.

No issue with him saying would like the Chelsea or Arsenal job! If he wouldn't then he's not ambitious enough. That said why the F would he want to go to Leeds? Sure keep an eye out for there results or say you enjoy going back there with Brighton, but whilst they have more history than us for sure we are as big a team TODAY as them and we're moving in the right direction not stagnant. Wonder if they have rich owners coming in? Only reason I could seem him angling for a move would be if they were about to spend 100M on getting to the Prem and he wanted a better contract here.

Is there any other manager who whores himself anywhere near as much?

Chelsea, Leeds, both owned by foreigners, can't see him getting anywhere near the total control he has here.

Pissed me off when Adams used to tout himself at every opportunity too

I half wish Gus would go to Leeds, TB will get someone excellent in again, I have no doubt.

Absolutely. Adkins has done a far better job at Stains, even though he's an utter cock, and I don't see him being touted for a top 6 job!

Dream on Poyet - try getting a top 2 finish and beating a local rival at the fourth attempt before seeing yourself as capable for a Prem job.

He got on well with Leeds, the fans loved him. He prob feels he owes them after leaving Wise for Spurs assistant job. Remember reading this last year written by Leeds fan James Brown.

Gus and Casper Await Leeds United at Brighton and Hove Albion - Sabotage Times

"Leeds continued as we’d started, clocking five wins in a row to clear the points deduction and carried on in such a fashion. By the end of the season the club missed out on automatic promotion by one place but by then Gus and Wise were long gone. Gus had decamped to Spurs where a million pound offer to be number two to the incoming Ramos proved too much for LUFC to match. But most telling was Wise’s departure, without Gus by his side Wise’s interest in the project clearly faded. In Poyet’s place Wise bought in Dave Bassett and that spelled doom for players like Carol who had been providing Beckford with his first slew of Leeds goals. Even though the team kept on performing the guile had left the games. Gussy’s touch had vanished.

When Wise’s successor Gary McAllister left the club Poyet put himself forward for the managers job at Leeds United but he failed to see how walking away from a club once wasn’t the ideal background to rejoin them.

Maybe he felt he deserved a crack at the number one position. There are certainly Leeds fans now and then who wished he had got the job, but the position went to Blackpool manager and former Leeds player Simon Grayson."

Good read, he comes across really well.
Loved his time at Leeds, and would love to go back there, as the fans there know how much he cares for them, and how much he will give to them.
Also would love to manage Arsenal, seems he's angling for a move away !

Yeah maybe he fancies swapping 30,000 crowds at Brighton and managing a club like palace who struggle to get 12000 to pay to watch them?
