Its usually quite important to perform in front of your own fans. I mean we are the people who buy the STs and merchandise. Keep playing crap football at home people stop going. Lose the faith and go shopping etc with their families. Less hassle and dare to say cheaper. If however you do well, well generally much more reason to go as ENJOYMENT becomes a part of the event rather than turgid frustration.

Yep, fair comments. However, someone made a very good point on here last week that being at the game dilutes the impact the actual result has on you because you've met up with your mates, had a beer etc. At the moment we have only the performance and the result to impact how we feel. That is causing an additional impact.

I believe that the huge amount of frustration being felt by fans in general is because we actually realise we are tantalising close to things being so much better. We are 'in' games more often and for longer. We are not bottom of the league. We are not getting hammered every week. We are not an awful side to watch. Fine margins are killing us: A deflection that goes in or goes wide. A tight decision that goes against us. Our shocking inability to put our chances away. I think many of us could probably handle being bottom of the league better than the constant 'near misses'. As the cliche says: "I can handle the dispair, It's the hope that kills me"

One home win in a year ?

Like I said elsewhere he’s not beyond reproach but he’s been given a mandate by TB and despite the results expect he’s delivering so don’t hold your breath for change anytime soon.

I’m firmly GP in because I expect he’s delivering on the majority of the mandate and the stats back up that it’s ‘working’ even if we don’t like how it looks in the near term.

Barber said the only really measuring point of success that Bloom and himself care about is progress. He continued by noting that meant a point better than the previous season or a position higher. There are other managers that play nice football. He won't be sacked yet, but if we fail to keep building on what has been previously achieved, he won't be at the helm next season.

Fine that’s the publicly expressed opinion but I guarantee given the analytical stats heavy reliance TB puts on everything else these won’t be the only metrics.

Expect he’s probably even gone so far as developed some as yet unreleased data to show the relative ‘luck’ element of given results over and above xG or % possession or shots etc.

I would also expect relative % use of academy products in match day 18/starting XI to feature prominently as well.

This was never going to be plain sailing and TB will know that.

Yep I agree. But I still will take into account all of our games when judging Potter's performance rather than focusing on half of them...

I don’t want Potter out, and our away form has improved, but the fact remains our home form is poor, and the expectation is that is where points should come from.

In fact if we’d replicated previous seasons under CH, coupled with GP’s away form we’d be at least mid-table.

Barber also let it be known on a weekly basis that it was costing bloom a million a month was it in the championship?

I am sure TB mandate is not to win one game at home in a year what stats back up its working you really are a complete tool. What is up with people on this board. He is out of his depth end of story.

Why the obsession with home wins? Are you concerned with how we do against teams who's names begin with the letter 'L"? Or how we do when we play on a Monday? Surely its about how we do overall in all of our games rather than half of them?

If we won every away game and didn't win at home would you still be upset?

We can’t win pretty much any game at the moment ffs . And to not accept our home form over the course of a year (one win) is not a concern is baffling to say the least we do u c 35/40 points comming from u set this clueless manager ?

For the more patient supporter s yes
But there seems to be a vocal proportion of fans
That are not quite so understanding and patient
And due to the much stated aiming for top ten Expect results NOW
As mentioned elsewhere it’s an incremental improvement
Over time that will get us there
It’s the small percentage s adding up
At least we are creating chances now
That’s an improvement
Just need a few to go in and we will be fine
If somewhat frustrating waiting until that happens

Barham's tash is far from that.

You, on the other hand, appear to be an incomplete tool

Well if we accumulate points at the same rate as we have been so far we will end up with 33. I honestly feel we deserved all 3 points against Man U and Palace which would have put us on 17 at this stage rather than the 12 that we have. Extrapolate that over 38 games and we will finish on 46. So I can see how we get to 35/40 without much changing. If we can defend set plays a little better, score from set plays at the other end and start to take some of the numerous chances that we create every game we will inevitably improve the points per game total we currently have. Again getting me to 35/40....

You asked where I saw 35/40 points coming from. What were you expecting as an answer? Of course I can only say ‘if’ this happens or ‘if’ that happens. I can’t state for certain that ‘x’ number of points will come from ‘y’ number of games. I can only offer opinion.. mines no more or less valid than yours...

One home win in a year is a fact not if
Chopping and changing the team is fact not if
Certain players not good enough is fact not if striker situation is fact not if
Think mines more accurate than yours

You asked me a question about future points. How can I provide facts about the future? I can offer opinions.
You quote one single fact about the past; one home win in a year.
Certain players not good enough is not a fact. It’s simply your opinion.
I haven’t made any factual inaccuracies. I’ve offered an opinion in reply to your question.
I don’t think yours is more accurate than mine
