Of our previous two managers, which one has the most delusion rewriting of their history by their supporters during their time at Brighton & Hove Albion?

De Zerbi. People dine out on beating the worst Ajax team in decades, a Marseille team that didn’t qualify for Europe this season. Hammered by a poor Roma who are on their 3rd manager since they beat us.

Tactically outdone by Dyche & Moyes, and embarrassing in many games where we shipped 4+ goals.

Oh and claimed Mudryk would win the balon d’or

Much of that is fair. However he did achieve something no other Albion manager has done. We were also playing a style of football that had a lot of people in world football sitting up and taking notice.

100% agree, but it showed how unsustainable it was / is. Didn’t even really manage a full season at that level

Whatever the end result I enjoyed watching us under both of them much more than I am enjoying Fab ball, whatever that is. I’d also love to know exactly what process I am being asked to trust

Getting rid of most of my favourite players is the closest I have come and I neither understand or trust it! Barco, Enciso, Facu and WBG

I'm a big Potter fan.

I was calling for him to return here post-De Zerbi.

Think Potter did an exceptional job to build the foundations of Brighton's greatest ever team. RDZ merely added the finishing touches - but Potter did all the graft.
Think it would have been a better appointment than what we got but he’d be given no time and would be starting from the ground up. Imagine the scene if we’d not won any of our first 10 games.

From what I have read today about how RDZ left* because the club wouldn't back him in the transfer window, I'm going RDZ's followers.

*And he was sacked. Fact.
@Anger wil back me up on that

Let’s not forget that it appeared that “Potterball“ was finally coming together (and incoming players would have helped) as when he left we were 4th in the league!

Who knows what might gave been…

DeZerbi was intense and fun for a season or so but felt was always going to be short lived.

Incumbent manager, for me, jury is out, however am not yet convinced…..

How many games had we played that season when Potter left?

Oh yes! He was definitely sacked.

If anyone was still in doubt of that indisputable fact I have just consulted my Magic 8 Ball on the matter and it said…

Aside from question I dont need an excuse to sing DeZerbi praise. A real leader that all including players will listen to. Will always say what he thinks but weakness that sometimes didnt think before he spoke. If only he had been given £200m on players.
Only two managers Poyet and DeZerbi always said what they thought and both shown the door.
Never mind we now have a very nice manager that will continue saying thats how the club do things and agree with everything.
