In the last 5 games, Lyon have stuttered a bit and have dropped 6 points whilst Bordeaux have won 4 in their last 5 and are just a point behind. Bordeaux also have a bigger goal difference and are behind by one point.

But both have tricky away ties. Bordeaux will clearly be tested at Marseille and Lyon have got Niice away, who have only lost once at home this season. But Bordeaux have been in form, could the push Lyon all the way?

The French Ligue hasn't been this close at this stage for a while.

Potential dark horses are PSG, 5 points behind Lyon who have a relative easy fixture at Nantes and I believed they would finish second before the season began.

I bloody hope so, because I'm sick of Lyon winning it every season.

And Leyton Orient in ninth I see. No wonder they struggle in Division One, what with having to nip over to France as well.

These Nancy Boys are hard, only last week 30 were arrested for anti-sochaux behaviour

when I saw the thread title, I thought that France must be expecting an invasion this weekend...

Some Nice puns on this thread - I'm sure we Caen keep this going for a little longer.
