we look FAR BETTER with crouch up front and a quick man off of him. time to give bent his chance with crouch. last england game crouch was MAN OF THE MATCH yet beckham(who did play bloody well) took all the glory. noone can doubt his scoring record for england either.

i realise stating GOOD was a tad over the top, but it will force mcclown to play our most effective front line, dont get me wrong, rooney is our best player, but we play better with crouch for sure

Only because our team are so shit that they give Rooney the same type of service they give Crouch - high balls. Obviously it suits Crouch a lot more than Rooney, but it's no fault of his, he's one of the few technically competent players we have.

Johnson, Smith, Defoe have all proven themselves not good enough on numerous occasions. Bent's only problem has been playing for an unfashionable club, but he's at Spurs now, so it's ok to pick him.
