I know it seems a bit far fetched but we did seem to move the ball a bit quicker today and we usually do better against teams that have a go rather than sit deep

Absolutely not the case. We played some great football (albeit against the bottom team) which was at times a joy to watch. I came away feeling much more positive than I have for a long time. We were far from "shit".
