Verbruggen, Dunk and minutes for Welbz. Non event for us otherwise, only one team out there.
Looked good tooWelbeck getting minutes.
A very nice cameo from Danny yesterday it was great to see him back.Really good to see Welbz back.
Ferguson is a superb finisher, but in games like that you need someone to hold the ball up.
Welbz will offer us a lot more in that regard
Bart was, on the whole, excellent. Unfortunate that the game's crucial goal came from him passing the ball straight to them n the edge of the box. Hope he doesn't dwell too much on that, because he did far more (very) good than bad, in the match.Verbruggens shot stopping was excellent and Dunk was incredible.
He also seems to have a very handy knack of arriving onto crosses in the opposition's box.Hinshelwood's touch and temperament get better every game, He's going to be some player.
Have to ask what he was trying to do when the corner came in though…….nowhere near it…..Bart was, on the whole, excellent. Similarly JPVH - hope he's not too gutted that Jesus' nod in, came from his poor header from the corner - had it not been for his own fabulous bit of alert defending to deny Odegaard (after Bart's poor pass, above), there wouldn't even have been a corner to defend.
It was a tricky one that - as a keeper, I hated corners like that. It was close enough to the goal, that it feels it should have been in his scope, but there were just too many bodies blocking him off. I can see why he found himself halfway towards it before stopping - all you can do in that situation is to recognise it as soon as possible and try to get back nearer your goal. Had he stayed 'home' it would have been a simple save.Have to ask what he was trying to do when the corner came in though…….nowhere near it…..
More like Gross is specifically looking out for his illegitimate son (according to RDZ)He also seems to have a very handy knack of arriving onto crosses in the opposition's box.
Yer man was standing right by the segregation line and doing a very loud running commentary in his inimitable style. I think eventually by half-time people decided some retaliation was in order for his ceaseless droning on so there were some funny chants directed his way along the lines of Neal Maupay making him cry. Saw even a few Arsenal having a chuckleDo explain the TY thing pls - blokes a chopper!
This doesn't sound like a positive.Bart has given three goals from bad passes. He didn't command the box from some corners. Imagine the stick Jason would have received!
Steele is better at passing/playing out, but Bart the better shot-stopper. Swings and roundabouts.Bart has given three goals from bad passes. He didn't command the box from some corners. Imagine the stick Jason would have received!
Well Steele would absolutely have got stick for shot-stopping for how that second went in. It's a good thing that nobody bothers with that crap with a young keeper thoughSteele is better at passing/playing out, but Bart the better shot-stopper. Swings and roundabouts.
