I know very little about the game. Did El-Abd or Greer get involved in the altercations?

Barnes went for a 50-50 with the keeper in the first half which they didn't like, this reached boiling point in the second half when one of their players had a dig at him - then it all kicked off. The other interesting thing was that we played with that World Cup ball - it really did sound like a 50p swerver when it was kicked

Cheap beer from a bar just outside the ground last year, just 3 euros if i remeber correctly.
The trouble wasn't at albufeira ground it was the other place, beer was available in the ground throughout and reasonably priced.

Did you go to that game, or know any one who did? It sounded very lively for a 'friendly'.

Yes mate, it was a lot about nothing really.

The worst bit was when the OB told them to shut the bar just after half time.

Yeah but there was a little bar just round the corner that loads of us seemed to stumble across, the old couple who ran it didnt speak a word of English but served everyone and then did their best to get us all taxis, most taxis were refusing to pick up from the stadium as they had heard there had been loads of trouble, fuckin Barnesy lol, We actually ended up walking back to Albufiera, which was ok, we stopped at a couple of bars along the way which broke up the journey.

Been looking at the web about Portugal and noticed that they have Bullfighting in Lisbon. Apparently the difference in Portugal to Spaion is that in Portugal they do not kill the bull and do the fighting on horseback. The price for Lisbon is advertised at between eu60 and eu80 a ticket so very expensive. Wife said she is fairly certain that she saw a bull ring in the north of Albufiera but cant find anything on the net about it. Before anybody gets carried away I am not sure that I would go but was curious to find out about it. Anybody else seen this in Albufiera.

Strangely enough, someone asked me earlier this week if i went to the bullfighting in Albufiera last year, as they had been a few years back. I wasn't aware that there was any until then but will definately try and find out this year. Are you still planning on camping BG?

Still driving down through France and Spain but staying in a hotel as it was cheaper or as cheap as the camp sites but when you take into account fuel consumption towinga trailer, extra tolls in Farnce (50% extra witha trailer) and the extra ferry fare it is cheaper to stay in a hotel. We have booked into the Club Praia du Rocha. On the Sunday after the last game we are driving to Pau in the Pyrennes and staying there for 4 days then a 1 day drive (est 9 hours) to Calais on Friday.
