What did you think of Beth Gibbon's collaboration a few years back with Rust'in Man?

I though it was pretty good, not uplifting party music, but good for a quiet contemplation.

And will Portishead ever release another Album?

Love Beth to pieces. I got to hear Portishead a few years ago at Glasto! Didn't get to see them, due to being in the field around the back of the tent hurling up whatever shit I had had to eat previously.

Sounded amazing!

Got the Beth Gibbons album your on about.......realy good..... very spooky and dark but a work of art........saw her playing one of the tents at Glasto a few years back and she sounded great, bit of an aquired taste though.

Way out west
I heard that Portishead were recording a new album something like two years ago, I have been waiting in eager anticipation but as yet nothing has materialised. Dummy is probably my top chill out album of all time, something similar would improve my CD collection no end.

I've put it on the line before saying Dummy is IMHO the greatest debut album...there was just something about it.

I hope they do eventually record a new album as the last one left me wanting more due it not being quite up to the standard of dummy.

Dummy is a fantastic record. I got my heart broken during that time (she must've of been mad to leave me) and it was the most fantastic sound track to how I was feeling.

I kind of hope they don't make something new as I just don't think it will stand up, but I'd love to be proved wrong.
