Pompey issued winding up petition

Barrel of Fun

Abort, retry, fail
Changing the subject slightly, did anyone else get annoyed during last nights game when the commentator kept on about how these clubs deserved their place in the limelight after all the financial difficulties they have suffered in recent years?

Like it wasn't any of their own doing, or am I being too harsh?

Not at all. Cardiff certainly wouldn't be in such a healthy state had a Malaysian consortium not come in for them recently. They were verging on financial oblivion. Again, had Crystal Palace cut their cloth accordingly, the likes of Ambrose, Speroni and so on would have been shipped out years ago.

The club has been a mess for ages and it is amazing that they are still in this division. I do feel for the fans even though they enjoyed the rewards of the overspending

Their next game should be interesting.

"Oh Harry's dog (oh Harry's dog)
Is richer than you (is richer than you)
Oh Harry's dog is richer than you
She keeps her cash
In Monte Carlo
Oh Harry's dog is richer than you"

BBC Sport - Portsmouth Supporters Trust plan rescue bid

I love this line in the article:

Having said that, a community bid means it is the community and the city and local businesses, and you would have various partners and some sort of council involvement and central funding from government.

Do they really think that the government will be chipping in given the money they have stiffed the taxman for in recent years....!!
