No. Beating Saints, live on Sky Sports, in the way we did, instantly makes this season better (so far).

Yes, another crap season. Now had 18 months of dross.

Results are dire, ground is dire. Falmer cannot come quick enough and I think there are still troubled waters ahead. This coming transfer window is going to be vital for us leading up to the new stadium.

This season is worse. No high points whatsoever so far. As others have pointed out, there were a few to alleviate the gloom last year. Even though it ended in anti-climax, there was also the Mickey Mouse cup run to leave the promise of Wembley until well after Christmas.

I take it you didn't go to St Mary's then? Oh, & you've forgotten to say we're still in the FA Cup. Anyway, if you think Micky's return was better in comparison to this season, then fair play to you. You prob's won't be surprised to hear that I think differently.

If we're just talking results-wise, yes. More goals conceded. Lower in the league. At no point this year have we been higher than at the corresponding time last year.

If you're talking about quality of football, enjoyment/excitement at games, or a sense that things can get better, than no, not even close, this year is much better.

I am used to the shite and mediocre performances week in week out such a delight and surprise when we do well ie Southampton and Leicester at home last season shame it only happens rarely who would want to be like Chelsea and win most weeks boring
