Managers/players behaviour towards officials is unacceptable.
As is the current general standard of refereeing and use of VAR
Both are true, altho I guess you could in large part argue the misuse of VAR and poor officiating causes a lot of the anger towards officials, can you really blame managers for going loopy at officials when the decisions made could cost your club millions/history? (Tottenham)

Just have the balls to enforce the existing rules. The technical area for example. I laughed with my family on Sunday at Wembley at the ridiculously small size of the technical area for both managers and remarked "RDZ is never going to stay in that." Lo and behold Ten Hag was even on the pitch once during one of the injury stoppages. Was he sanctioned? Of course not. Either enforce the rule that managers stay inside their area or get rid of the notion altogether.
Same with the decorum of managers. Either give Klopp a red or get rid of the rule that the officials are above reproach from managers during the game.

Since bad behaviour from players does not get points deducted, neither should managers ..... unless clear errors by refs gets points added .

The banning of managers is a joke because they seem to be allowed in the stands to watch and chat with those on the bench through play and can therefore influence play.
I‘d ban them from the ground from kick off to the end of the match, and ensure they can‘t communicate with anyone involved in the game.

RDZ received a red card (twice).
So where does the points deduction count? Is it Klopps behaviour in general towards the ref post match because if you say he has a yellow whilst RDZ has a red then we lose more points than them.
And is Klopp doing any more than we as fans done post Spurs other than he has a bigger audience?
Basically, any player, manager or club staff who gets within a metre of any official and/or hurls abuse or shouts in any way should get a red card and 3 match ban.
Any player, other than the club captains and two players involved in a situation (four in total), who approaches the ref or other official during or after a game and shouts or abuses the official will receive a red card and 3 match ban. The four in total includes any player or staff member approaching any other official at the game. So no extra players giving the lino grief.

bit of bedwetting. there are more important disciplinary matters to deal with, and more stages to go through, before resorting to point deductions. like refs more frequently applying the yellow/red to managers, player dissent, dives, etc. why didnt he get a red?

Plus three points for every letter of apology from PGMOL and an extra one added for a personal visit by Howard Webb.
The starting point should be a yellow for every player that surrounds the referee, shouting right in his face. The second point would be a second yellow for any twunt of a PL footballer who doesn't understand that doing the same thing again will result in a second yellow.

The rules are in place for what to do when this stuff happens. The refs choose not to use them.
What Klopp did against Spurs should have been a straight red card and the ban should have been lengthened if it is not his first offence.
Isn't it the same with the players and the ref? they should get yellows and then reds if they carry on. The refs need to step up and use their powers correctly in order to stamp this shit out.

Imagine losing a title, being relegated, losing a Champions League spot or European spot by a point because your manager got punished but another rival manager didn’t in the same circumstances. No, just no.
What we need is more transparency from referees and VAR. We need them to be mic’d up. This should absolutely be the priority to try and bring some integrity back into the game.

I think the refs association should concentrate on getting competent officials. Then when the standard is good enough, tackle the bad behaviour of managers with bans.
At the moment it is a bit like a school where the teachers aren't very good or don't implement the rules properly. Of course they don't behave as well as they should
