Currently listening to Friendly Fires, School Of Seven Bells and Passion Pit. Can't be arsed to research new music at the mo so recommendations would be great.

I would suggest White Lies, Late of the Pier, Foals and Empire of the Sun, purely based on you listening to Friendly Fires.

Can't you just put Friendly Fires into Last.fm and see what comes up?

Friendly Fires are quality, well played on that front.

I'd recommend Empire of The Sun, Frankmusik, Metronomy, Crystal Castles, White Lies and The Rifles :whisky:

Crystal Castles,:

Do you not find that album a little bit ridiculous? Some nice tunes on it but totally RUINED by horribly clashy tunes that sound exactly like a headache waiting to happen.

I've not been listening to much NEW stuff recently, which is a poor effort. The new Super Furries album is out, I'd get involved with that if I were you.

It's a bit tedious, but i love that album. Amazing live as well.
You Love Her Coz She's Dead are a less headachey version of them really.
Ridiculous name but quality tunes.

Try Neon Neon.

Gruff Rhys from Super Furries' electro side project. Surprisingly serious (considering it's a collection of songs about Star Wars, Blade Runner, the Car from Back to the Future) and unsurprisingly good.

Check it out:

Also, whatever you may think of Depeche Mode's music, this video is BRILLIANT, check it out:

Particularly good if you have the internet speed to be able to watch it in HD (click the HD button, bottom right).

I am being a tad pedantic here but it's actually about John DeLorean.

I'd recommend giving Fleet Foxes a go if you don't mind a bit of melodic stuff.

Mykanos and White Winter Hymnal are good starting points.

......not a fan of White Lies but all the others are good calls esp Foals and LotP. I'm listening to Fever Ray at the mo. Pretty good IMHO.
