Playing MP4's on Windows media player

Sorry for being a twat but I have never been able to play mp4 videos recorded on my camera on Windows Media PLayer. And I want to. Have looked online but don't understand the answers.

I get the sound but no picture. Thanks, sorry for putting this shit on the main board.

Install VLC, that does the trick.
Real Player should work too.

Real Player is clunky and horrible. Excellent shout with VLC though. If you don't have it Timbo it's worth getting and it's free.
