Getafe got their whole stadium named after Alfonso Perez who was a pretty average footballer playing for Betis, Barcelona and Real Madrid 1991-2005 but who never played for Getafe. One of the weirdest examples.

Spanish 3rd Division side Deportive Guadalajara play at the 8000 capacity Estadio Pedro Escartín. Pedro Escartín was a former Footballer, he played for Real Sociedad, Gimnástica and Española before health reasons forced him to retire, he went on to become a renowned referee, the first Spanish referee at a World Cup. He then tried his hand at management as the coach of the Spanish National side.

We have had some great players, but none that really should have a stand named after them.

Tony, Dick, or maybe Lewis if he sees his career out with us ???

I've always thought Charlie Webb should have a stand named after him

two reasons really

firstly,he was at the club for 40 years

and secondly, new generations of fans would learn a little bit of history about the club
