I prefer him at full back as I think that he is too small and a liability as a centre back. He is in a similar position to Adam El Abd, not good enough in 1 position but able to help out in a number.

According to Radio Sussex played most of his games in The Championship at right back and a couple at right midfield.

i recall most of his game in the championship - certainly the ones in which he looked like a potential player of the season until that knee injury - coming on the right of three central defenders, as well as a few in midfield early in the season

he did a job there tonight though, and although he did struggle at times, bearing in mind that was his first first team game in some time and he was up against three very good players going forward, he did well

Kuipers - 6 - Decent enough, the odd dodgy moment.

Hinshelwood 6 - Looked uncomfortable at times at Right Back.
Elphick - 8 - Fantastic, the Elphick from last season is well and truly back.
Virgo - 8 - Looking very good with Elphick.
Borrowdale - 6 - Decent enough, not one of his best games.

Loft - 6 - Gave his all, still questions over his overall quality.
Dicker - 7 - Liking him more and more, good game.
Fraser - 5 - Not one of his best games, overshadowed by Dicker.
Cox - 6 - Did alright, don't remember him doing much before going off.

Owusu - 7 - Own goal? Who cares, he was in the right place at the right time.
Hart - 9 - Outstanding, cracking crosses for both goals. Not a coincidence our good run of form has coincided with the return of Hart.

Andrew - 7 - Nice goal, looked good again coming off the bench.
Davies - 6 - Ran down every ball for the cause, wasn't given too long.
McLeod - N/A - Not on long enough to judge.

Very very interesting. Of course I wasn't there and rely on the commentray but the commentators certainly differed from you on Loft. Made mention to at least three goal saving tackles and then there was his freekick that flew just wide..... Camlin went so far as to suggest he was pushing for MOM (although certainly Virgo and Hart were the stand-out players).... seems that Loft can do no right in some people's eyes and do now wrong in others.

I think your ratings are mean.

I award ten marks to every player - if you were there you will realise they all died for the cause. Adam Hinshelwood could hardly move after an earlier injury which looked like knee trouble again. Even Kevin McLeod came on and hoofed the ball into the stands three times near the end when we were under considerable pressure.

Bring on Huddersfield.

Michel 6 - Not much to save but coped with what he had to

Hinshelwood 6 - Dealt well with a tricky winger
Elphick 8 - brilliant
Virgo 8 - worked hard and very solid
Borrowdale 6 - Looked a bit shaky at times in possession
Loft 6 - Didn't see too much of him
Dicker 8 - Calm on the ball and picked out some good passes
Fraser 6 - 2 horrendous shots at the corner flag. Calm at times under pressure but no real presence
Cox 7 - 1 or 2 good runs and crosses
Owusu 7 - Worked very hard but should have won more in the air. Well taken goal
Hart 9 - Absolute terrier and ran at defenders all night. 2 absolute quality crosses for the goals

It's certainly true that they all played for the shirt and it was an outstanding team effort. Given that Rovers had nothing to play for to their credit they kept looking to get back into the match we coped well with the pressure and were well worthy winners. Ref was a conmplete dick though.....booking Kuipers for time wasting because the ball boy through it 30 yards from where the kick was to be taken!!!!!

Michel 6 - Did what he had to. No chance with the goal

Hinshelwood 7 - Kuffour was their best player. Coped pretty well
Elphick 8 - brilliant
Virgo 8 - as above
Borrowdale 7 - Solid
Loft 7 - Tireless
Dicker 8 - Calm. Class.
Fraser 6 - Worked hard. Good to see the PASSION
Cox 7 - Influential until cruel HACK.
Owusu 7 - Triffic again. Sign. Him. Up.
Hart 9 - Brilliant. 2 quality assists. Bit concerned that the DRUG TESTERS are going to want to look into his new found pace!

I actually thought Loft had a good game last night.

Obviously no where near MOM, as several players last night shone... Hart. Virgs and Dicker.

Did alot of good work, never stopped running and chasing and actually made some very very important tackles and blocks.

FDM 6: Took some crosses well, not really any saves to make, kicking good. Silly booking for time wasting, he seems to do this every match these days.
Borrowdale 6.5: Solid, reasonably good positionally, at times he did drift into the centre to make us a little vulnerable.
Virgo 9: The best performance by a centre half in an Albion shirt for years. The goalline clearance was incredible, showed leadership qualities that have not surfaced before.
Elphick 8: Fought for everything, great battling for 90 minutes against some very sharp strikers.
Hinsh 6: At times dived in too quickly, but no complaints.
Dicker 8: Extremely effective, calm and knew when to put a foot in and when to make a simple pass.
Cox 6.5: Looked strong and competitive until he had to go off.
Fraser 6: Chased the ball around well, but nothing creative.
Loft 7: One of his better games, very combative and eager to support the strikers.
Hart 10: It may seem ridiculous to give him a 10, but his contribution, never say die attitude, bravery, speed, commitment and skill inspired and lifted the fans and his fellow players. Fantastic all round effort.
Owusu 8: Natural goalscorer, held the ball up well

Subs:
Andrew 8: Great goal, looks strong and pacy.
Davies 6.5 Tried hard but struggled to make an impression.
McLeod 6.5. Used his experience well at the end of the game to make some important blocks.

Kuipers 6 - as I think he could have done better for the goal and flapped a couple of times in the second half

Hinchelwood 6.5 - looked a little suspect at times
Virgo 9 - awesome in his CORRECT position - his headed clearance off the line was supreme and his inspiring captaincy was terrific
Elphick 7 - we needed him to play
Borrowdale 7 - pretty steady

Cox 7 - shame he was injured
Fraser 7 - good work rate
Dicker - more good play
Loft 7 - as it says on the tin

Hart 10 - brilliant work for both goals and superb all round display
Owusu 8 - one extra for the goal

Andrew 7 - good goal and worked hard over the pitch
Davies - not on long enough
McLeod - ditto

Slade 11 - pashion pashion and yet more passion
