just wondering if anybody has any info on any players rumoured to be coming to the club, as i thought things were going ok whilst not really keeping upto date in the falklands. since coming back our 1st game was postponed, our 2nd we have lost 3.0.. and now i hear we are gonna lose savage, martot and o'callaghan.. on top of this we have already lost richards back to ipswich. its looking like the team we will be left with will be weaker than the team we struggled with at the end of last season. so either we sign more players in january or we begin to struggle again.. i know a lot of people look upon the club as though they are doomed everytime we get beat.. that isnt my case here, it is the other things that i hear that are worrying, such as losing players. as soon as i came on here just now there are people mentioning the o'callaghan interview and suggesting other young players may be leaving aswell, also he has stated things are not right at the albion. :albion2:

More loan signings probably who make half an impact then f*** of back to their club.

I would love for us to sign Stephen Gillespie

would be a wonderful repalcement - although i reckon he would cost around £200000 - which you would have to question if we would be able to pay

nicki bull , apart from that we need to replace these players if / when they go. The wheels have truly come off.

Invest now and salvage the season !

the wheels have come off what???

we lost today, and didnt play well. NEWS FLASH sometimes players dont play well and we lose

bas and his agent have tried taking the piss out of the club, and we haven't let them. dick knight clearly does offer half decent contracts, seeing how he managed to get Forster here, and any other player for that matter. the contracts cant be that bad if he can encourage them to play at withdean. so how about everyone stops slagging off dick knight for NOT being a mug.

forster came due to length of contract and being a local lad , wasnt like some major coup

I've been watching the albion to many years and know the signs. We need to invest.

I went to the Lewes game today (first time in 5 yrs that I haven't attended the BHA boxing day fixture) and am suddenly very nervous about our situation. I thought our season was moving forward very well and generally our style of play seemed to demonstrate togetherness and mutual understanding in the squad. I want to know why ppl are thinking richards is now off? Secondly, who Wilkins' two main transfer targets were? And why he cannot pursue them? I think we need to do our best to disentangle the real from the speculative (if this is ever possible)

I would also like to add that Bas seemed a very popular player among the squad for uplifting spirits. The Cheltenham game is a perfect example - without his tenacious run down the wing we would have gone out to a very poor Cheltenham - it is important to remember this when evaluating his impact - it is not all about the goals

Richards has gone back to Ipswich as his loan has expired. He still has 18 months left at Ipswich and although it may be possible to loan him again, his contract would be costly to buy out, let alone his wages.

But I would hardly say Ipwich are that bothered about him as he played in the cup for us.

Surely his contract could be cancelled by mutual consent ?
