Shaaban 6

Reid 6
Hinshelwood 6 (Hammond 6)
Butters 5 Mayo 4 (Jones 5)

Hart 2
Oatway 1
Virgo 6
Harding 6

McCammon 5 (McPhee 5)
Knight 7

a midfield would have been nice.

Mayo did not look once at who he was passing to - just hoofed it aimlessly up the park and the rest of the back 4 were no better at trying to build from the back.

FRUIT OF THE BLOOM
Nobody had a bad game in all honesty, although i was dissapointed in the keeper, what little he had to do didnt inspire me with confidence.

Knight was clearly our best player on the park, looked dangerous whenever we gave him a half decent ball and i thought worked very hard also.

How can you say nobody had a bad game? the team was second best to everything

we were woeful. the games we have won this year against the 'big' clubs we have at least attempted to pass the ball but last night all we did was launch 40 yard balls to their centre halves in the hope that they would clear the ball out.

it was shockingly bad.

McCammon 6 - held it up but then seemed to want to turn and get at people rather than lay off to the midfield

What midfield?

Falmer, soon...
Shaaban 5 - Prone to punch, not confidence inspiring but did ok.
Reid 4 - Out of position too often, allowed cross for goal
Hinshelwood 6.5 - Unfortunate, looked good up until injury.
Butters 6 - Reliable but caught out a few times, not his best game.
Mayo 5 - Defensively ok, distribution was woeful
Hart 5 - anonymous, looked jaded
Virgo 6.5 - Asked to play in 3 positions, looked out of depth in the middle

Knight 6 - Disappointing, not his usual productive self.
Hammond 6 - Got into some good positions but defensively lacking.
McPhee 4 - Did Nothing of note.

He played a blinder considering he shouldn't have even started, McGhee should have known he wasn't fit enough, i thought he was great under the circumstances.

I agree with you Trigger. I think the big man did fairly well under the circumstances although why McGhee waited for so long to replace him is a mystery. He'd certainly wouldn't win a prize in a Duty of Care contest.

I thought Harding played well - didn't give it away and some some strong challenges - how some of you gave him 3's and 4's is beyond me

Sadly, there are still a lot of Harding haters out there. I wish they'd give the lad a chance.

I've been a critic of Harding, but I thought he was one our best players yesterday, a big improvementon his performance against Wigan. I think he's played far better in midfield or as a wing back.
