He played a blinder considering he shouldn't have even started, McGhee should have known he wasn't fit enough, i thought he was great under the circumstances.

absolutely

his effort was amazing when he was clearly very very ill.

Shaaban 5 Was not that happy with what I saw, looked very nervous at times.

Reid 5 Due a rest.
Hinshelwood 6 No mistakes early on
Butters 7 His usual calm and workmanlike display
Mayo 5 One very bad error and not his usual confidence coming forward.

Hart 5 Struggled to make any impact on the game.
Oatway 6 Passed out of the game by the superior Reading midfield in the first half but battled back well to lead our revival at the end
Virgo 7 Not entirely comfortable in midfield, much better up front - good free kick and brilliant volley that would have gone it if it had been a foot to the right.
Harding 8 Superb display, our MOTM, all-action through the game and had an excellent little cameo at centre back at the end, without him Forster might have got a hat-trick

McCammon 7 Heart of a lion to be so effective when ill - badly missed when he went off.
Knight 6 Very ordinary effort from Leon in the first half but woke up in the second half on the flanks. Another disappointing performance at CF though.

Hammond 7 Made a real impact on the game but 3 chances to score blown. You'd rather have him in the team getting on the end of those chances though.
Jonah 5 Time's running out for him.
McPhee 5.5 The occasional threat.

It obviously came on during the game, he was fine early on.

My view from the TV:

Shaaban 5 - looked very hesitant every time the ball went into the box

Reid 6 - anonymous for the most part
Hinshelwood 6 - didn't do anything particularly great or bad until forced off, hope his injury is not serious
Butters 7 - solid
Mayo 6 - see Hinshelwood

Hart 5 - didn't do anything of note
Virgo 7 - played pretty well especially in defence
Oatway 5 - thought he was pretty poor
Harding 8 - played well, tackled hard, looked good

McCammon 6 - held it up but then seemed to want to turn and get at people rather than lay off to the midfield
Knight 8 - a constant threat

Hammond 6 - did ok but nothing spectacular
McPhee 6 - ditto Hammond
Jones 5 - likewise but slightly worse

I thought Harding played well - didn't give it away and some some strong challenges - how some of you gave him 3's and 4's is beyond me

totally agree. Also thought Knight looked superb but a little lonely and needs a strike partner. How many times did he win flick ons against guys twice his size. Very worried about the form of Hart and Oatway and dunno what happened to Riedy but had a shocker and looked well off the pace

Shabaan 5: More fisting than in a German Porn Movie
Reid 6: OK, but never ventured beyond half way line
Mayo 5: Ditto but gave the ball away too much
Harding 6.5: Improvement, chased a lot and put in a few crosses
Butters 6: As dependable as ever in the air
Hinshelwood 5: I hope the injury is not serious
Oatway 5: Very poor first half and wasted out best chance in the second
Virgo: 7 So versatile I half expected him to be hosting the phone in after the match
Hart 4: Anonymous from one of my heroes
Knight 7.5: Classiest player on the pitch
McCammon 6 Held the ball up well considering the state he was in
Hammmond 7 Good game and made himself noticed
Jones 5: Did nothing good nor bad

Shaaban 6 - some good punches, but looked nervy.

Mayo 5 - a few careless passes, rather dodgy.
Butters 5 - looked isolated, needed help.
Hinsh 6 - average, injury looked bad.
Reid 5 - poor; time to give Watto a go.

Harding 7 - one of the better players.
Virgo 6.5 - struggled in midfield, did better elsewhere.
Oatway 4 - just plain poor; a run of bad games for him now, needs competition.
Hart 4 - completely anonymous.

McCammon 6 - you had to feel for him, made an impact and linked up with Leon early on, but the illness came on (yet he kept battling).
Knight 7.5 - our major, often only threat, but didn't always put in the best of final balls. Worked hard when often isolated, pity he didn't have longer in partnership with McC.

Subs: Hammond 6, McPhee 6, Jones 6.
