LI - if you think that Yelldell is in the same league as Shabaan then I don't know what you're watching. Just by his presence on the pitch Shabaan gives our defence an air of confidence that they never had with Yelldell. In fact, I'd say they haven't had it since Roberts was last playing.

That's one straw argument knocked over then.

Read it properly and you will see I was talking about distribution, where Yelldell has showed good throwing skills to get out team moving upfield quickly. Of course Shabaan is the better all-round keeper, did you seriously think I was arguing Yelldell was :glare:

I wasn't at the game but I would like to draw attention to Hinsh...

How old is he?

Hardly a seasoned pro, and yet another clean sheet and, in turh, another 3 points for us.

We're not going to be pushing for the premiership just yet but lets be honest... We aren't going down, say we aren't going down!!!!

What he said, plus his distribution is very good, can kick with both feet and is fairly accurate with his drop kicks despite hitting a few orbiting satellites on its way to the opposition's penalty box.

...and his throwing?

I don't think this is the strongest part of his game, bearing in mind that ball fed straight to the Sunderland forward last week.

Shaaban 6 - A couple of dodgy bits of distribution but had no real shot to save
Reid 8 - Another fine game
Butters 7 - Solid without having much to do
Hinshelwood 7 - Ditto
Reid 8 - Another fine game
Harding 8 - Excellent all-round game
Hart 7 - Apart fropm the goal wasn't as involved as he normally is
Carpenter 7 -Worked really hard
Nicolas 9 - An awesome game. Tackled well and I can scarcely remember a missed pass
Knight 8 - He looks more and more at home as a wide player

McCammon 5 - Not really there today. Lucky not to get a red card
McPhee 3 - Unfit and lacking match practice

Subs:
Mayo 7 - Effective game, looked good going forward
Oatway 7 - Gave a bit of bit to midfield

That was more to do with Reidy not looking up and expecting to receive the ball.

I play in goal myself and it is infuriating when you want to distribute the ball quickly to somebody who is not concentrating on you using the ball.
