Kinky, how the hell can you give McCammon 4?????? That was by far his best game for us.

I thought that was easily McCammon's best game. Won pretty much everything in the air, just a shame he had no support for the knock downs. A superb team performance

he hardly won anything in the air

I thought he was pretty good, although others around me were less than impressed. You know what you're getting with him, but he was aggressive and threatening today, and won a fair bit in the air.

Kuipers 7 One brilliant early save

Butters 9 A colossus at the back, easily MOTM
Hinsh 6 Did OK, although a little hesitant on the ball.
Virgo 6 defending, 8 up front - the odd little slip while at the back and was probably to blame for the first goal. But his run for our second goal was magnificent.

Mayo 8 So comfortable with the ball, a revelation
Oatway 7 One drag back in front of the South Stand singers was almost Jonah quality!
Carpenter 6 Battled hard but struggles for pace at times
Watson 7 His educated foot earned us the first goal and should have got us a second but for Leon's odd decision to pass the ball back to the halfway line when 6 yards out.

McCammon 6 Battled hard, won his headers but surely it's very close between selecting him or Virgs up front
Knight 7.5 Nervous in the first half, missed his usual 2-3 scorable chances, but then had a dream second half. Different player when his goal went in, lovely finish and then he exploded into the player we know he can be. If he keeps some level of consistency, we will end mid-table.
Hart 7 Did really well, our best attacker in the first half.

Harding 8 Fantastic impact, used his pace to cause havoc and was part of a superb move for our second goal, wonderful cross
Nicolas 6 The usual tidy stuff
Reid 6 Great battle between him and Watto shaping up

Surely you're having a laugh? He won about 80-90% of the balls up to him.

Agreed. He did win almost everything in the air. I thought he was excellent today. I'm genuinely surprised to hear people's negative opinion of him.

The explanation is Kinky for some reason feels he has to slag off anyone else who plays up front for the Albion as it makes his hero Leon look even better.

I don't he understands the role of a targetman either and wants every striker to look and play like Defoe or Ellington.

 nice one kinky on 10,000

anyways

Kuipers 8- kept us in it at the end

Butters 8- superb , thought losing danny would affect his game but no
Hinsh 7 - definitely showing he can be one for the future
Virgo 8 - so close to a quality goal

Mayo 7 - well taken goal ,batteled hard throughout
Oatway 7 -captain marvel , enough said
Carpenter 7 - always shows his worths
Watson 6 - good to see him back

McCammon 6 - starting to use his head , unfortunate not to score
Knight 7 - back to the leon we all know
Hart 7- surely worth a more regular place on his last 3 performances

Subs: Harding 7, Nicolas 7, Reid 6

Thought Carpenter was off the pace a little today. Kept on taking to long on the ball and a little slower than usual to react to things but hopefully he will get back to his old self with time.

Watto was worth at least a 7 if Chippy was today! If he wasn't so slow he would be in my side evey week. Much prefer him in midfield to defence as well as he also protects the defence and if he is done for pace then there is hopefully someone covering him.
