What a depressing evening... a shocker from Livermore to gift them two goals and we never recovered...

Andersson - 6 - Kicking wasnt as bad as I had heard, and couldnt do much about the goals
Whing - 8 - MOM - Battled all game and really looked up for it - shame he was pretty much the only one
Livermore - 4 - Twice he should have got rid, and twice he ended up losing out on the right wing for them to score... I apologise to the people around me when I shouted abuse at him, but I was livid!!
El Abd - 5 - Looked shaky and not surprised to see him go off.
Heath - 6 - Looked solid
Cox - 5 - Not in it at all, very disappointing after the weekend
Bangura - 6 - Never got a foothold
Jarrett - 4 - What the hell was he doing? A dummy to no one, cruyff turn to nearly gift them a goal?
Carole - 5 - Saw a lot of the ball, but no end product...
Forster - 6 - Chased and tried, but never had much to work with.
Owusu - 5 - Wasnt a factor at all

Borrowdale - 6 - Looked more comfortable than Livermore
Elphick - 6 - Made the defence look more assured
Davies - 6 - Saw glimpses of a nice touch and some pace, but no goal threat

As soon as I saw 2 defensive subs at half time i knew the game was up!

Andersson 4-The epitome of a 'dodgy keeper'.

Whing 7- The only one who gave a shit.
El-Abd 5- Poor tonight was trying to cover the disaster that was Livermore
Heath 5- Not as good as Elphick or Virgo and must make way.
Livermore 3- Didn't do anything right, isn't a leftback, didn't break sweat.

Cox 4- Missing in action.
Bangura 5- Not involved
Jarrett 2- I'm glad we've only employed him until the end of the season. The Blue Square awaits Jason.
Carole 5- Didn't see much of the ball, but did manage to trap the ball twice from diagonal passes.

Owusu 4- No service
Forster 6- No service but did try and help the referee out.

Subs.
Davies 6- Put himself about, should start if Murray is still out
Elphick 6- Should start, solid and the part of the reason we drew the second half.
Borrowdale 6- I hope he is fit enough to start on Saturday.

Crowd 7- Difficult to get the singing going tonight as there was nothing to cheer and Walsall were very quiet.


Verdict....If we don't improve, we're DOOMED!!!!

Andersson 3- why is this guy playing when sully is in the stands?! his distribution is SHOCKING get Sully back.

Whing 7- The one player that comes out with some credit from tonight, determined performance.
El-Abd 5- Coped well in first half despite being exposed on his left side by Livermores performance, thought he should have stayed on with heath making way.
Heath 4- Didnt want to know, god knows why he played second half rather than el abd.
Livermore 1- Central midfielder being played at left back, totally mugged didnt look like he gave a shit.

Cox 5- Not an ideal performance, did work hard I think confidence is his issue.
Bangura 5- Some good touches, quality signing for us but needs to do more to take control of the game.
Jarrett 1- With his experience he should be dominating league one midfields, shocking performance tonight.
Carole 5- as per cox.

Owusu 6- won a few flicks worked hard.
Forster 4- Thought he was poor tonight, no real determination or leadership.

Andersson 4 - Poor, can we have sullivan back in goal please!

Whing 8 - MOM The only player in the starting 11 who put the effort in.
El Abd 3 - Never got to grips with the game, Glad he went off at half time.
Heath 5 - Shakey 1st half but improved when alongside Elphick.
Livermore 2 - Has to be the worst 45 mins I've seen from an Albion left back.

Cox 4 - Offered no cover for our left backs and poor going forward, I gave him 4 for getting a free kick over the 1st defender ( and allmost over the roof as well )
Bangura 5 - Won a few tackles and probably our best player in a very poor midfield performance.
Jarrett 3 - Terrible performance, At one point he appeared to tackle himself and gift them the ball.
Carole 4 - One good cross on to Forsters head and that was it.

Forster 4 - Half hearted effort tonight
Owusu 4 - Won nothing and done nothing.

Elphick 6 - Helped stabalise a shakey defence and must start saturday
Borrowdale 6 - As per Elphick
Davies 6 - Added a bit of pace & urgency but never looked a goal threat.

the keeper isnt exactly installing confidence in the back 4 we had a couple of cock ups tonite because of his lack of comunication

i would give them all 4 or 5 except whingy who had a decent 1st half

Andersen 5 - Didnt do too much, needs to work on his communication with the defence

Whing 8 - Easily MOM, tried hard, won last ditch tackles, tried to get forward, the only good player who started the game

Heath 5 - didnt really look interested despite being taller than Ibehere, He won nothing, and just strolled about the pitch even when they were attacking

El Abd 4 - he started the shambles by cocking around after 10seconds and letting them have a shot. Is too short to play as a regular at centre back

Livermore 3 - caught out for 2 goals, couldnt contain there wingers, but he is not a left back

Carole 5 - looked bright in small patches, not sure why he was substituted.

Jarrett 3 - terrible game, why showboat when you cant do the basics, nearly cost us a goal

Bangura 5 - hussled without winning much as he is too short in the middle of midfield, some crunching challenges though

Cox 3 - strolled around like he thought he was the business after Saturday, should have helped by giving an easy option by moving 2 yards, for the first two goals. Set pieces crap, and he only took them after Carole went off

Forster 4 - didnt get any service, not his normal composed self and gave the ball away lots

Owusu 4 - again no service but him not clearing on the touchline lead to their 3rd goal

Elphick - 6 looked solid at the back, and we didnt conceed, needs to start instead of El Abd

Borrowdale 5 - contained their winger better than Livermore, spent most of the half taking long throws down the line

Davies 5 - looked sharp playing wide, but no threat on goal whatsoever



1st half was the worst performance of the season!!!

Andersen 4 - difficult to tell if he could have done better with the goals without seeing them again. Distribution was awful. Not filling our shaky back 4 with any confidence. Cannot see what he is bringing to the team over Sullivan.

Whing 7 - MOM, worked hard in defence and tried to get forward. At least looked like he cared.

Heath 4 - disappointing for a man with bags of experience at a higher level, did not organise or command our back line.

El Abd 4 - no worse than Heath. Unless he was injured it seemed a bit of a wasted substitution as we were already 3 down and could have maybe done with another attacking change.

Livermore 2 - chasing shadows in the first half. Looked like a slow left-footed central midfielder playing out of position. Oh, hang on...

Carole 4 - no real threat. A couple of nice touches but we need much better service from our wide players.

Jarrett 3 - very bad. Saw a fair bit of the ball but caught in possession too often and offered absolutely nothing going forward. An experienced player who should take a hold of this sort of game, but fell well short. Would like to see Birchall get a run out in his proper position.

Bangura 5 - quietest game I have seen him have for us.

Cox 3 - you wouldn't have known he was out there. Completely baffled by his selection week-in week-out, has been so poor this season.

Forster 4 - fed off scraps. One good chance in the first half. Doesn't seem to be the leader of men we need for a relegation scrap. More interested in moaning to the ref than rallying the side.

Owusu 3 - no threat whatsoever. Didn't help that Andersen failed to aim one kick at him.

Elphick 5 - did OK but Wallsall were cruising second half.

Borrowdale 5 - better than Livermore at left back. As above.

Davies 5 - lively but no real goal threat in the time he got.


A night to forget. As bad as our home debacle against this lot.

I agree with this, El Abd was out of position far too many times, but this was mostly because he was covering for Livermore who lost the runner every single time. It is a shame, El Abd is my most-est favourite player, I would like to meet him, give him a big man hug and discuss his potential as a cage fighter.

Jarrett was terrible - first time I had seen him and I was not impressed - not as good as Fraser (based on that one performance).

Anderson 3 : I sat right down the front behind the goal. He didn't communicate and the defence were clearly not best pleased with him. Sullivan back please.

Whing : 8 : MOM by a country mile on the albion side. Commited and with little help from Carole
Heath : 5 : As someone said above, didn't organise the defence with his experience.
El Abd : 3 : Thier Centre forward had him in his pocket.
Livermore : 1 : Seriously 1. At fault for all 3 goals (gave away corner for the 3rd) and taken to pieces by Nicholls thier number 17 (best player on pitch). In his defence out of position and not helped at all by Cox who should have doubled up but left him to it.

Carole : 6 : Not enough end product but glimpses of what he can do all the same.
Jarrett : 1 : Awful. Just awful. A Dummy to no one, an inch perfect pass to thier centre forward who should have scored, slowing the play down when we attacked. I could go on. People moan about Fraser but at least he cares and doesn't slow the play down.
Bangura : 4 : Missing in action tonight.
Cox : 3 : All goals came from his side and he was knowhere to be seen. Slade must take a bit of the blame as the team wasn't set up right for away from home but all the same Cox could and should have seen a bit more of what was going on.

Forster : 6 : Tried hard but had nothing to work with.
Owusu : 5 : Got nothing from the ref which affected the way he played.

Borrowdale : 5 : Better than Livermore but not saying much.
Elphick : 5 : Enough to see him restored to the team in place of El abd
Davies : 5 : Not enough time to get into the game.

Slade 6 : At least he got them going at the start of the 2nd half BUT i'm not sure Cox and Carole can play away from home unless they up their work rate. We were completely overrun.
