Good win, but whay a poor team Swindon are. We should/could have had five or six.

Kuipers 6: Couple of good catches, one good punch, but not a lot else to do. Kicking poor though.

Whing 8. Excellent. MOM.

ElAbd 7. Looked solid, but a bit too much hoofing.

Lynch. 7. Couple of dodgy monents, but otherwise good.

Fraser 7. Very good first half. Faded a bit in the second.

O'Callaghan 7. Some sublime moments, one or two poor passes.

Hammond 7. A bit anonymous, but great goal.

Robinson 7. Some good stuff, sometimes frustrating. Great goal.

Savage 6. Not at his best, but made Jake's goal.

Forster 7. Good goal, good running. Didn't see much of the ball for long periods of the second half.

Subs:

Martot 4. Did nothing. What's the point?

Reid 6. Did not have a lot to do.

Revell. Not long enough.

Brighton fans 9.

Wilkins 8. Good for dropping Cox, bad for persisting with Martot on the bench.

kuipers - 6. regulation catches, swindon did bugger all else to test him. one particularly flair moment when he dealt with a back pass on his line and managed to hack it out at a 90 degree angle to the way his foot was facing
whing - 7. didnt let anything past, superb
richards - 7. good going forward, decent defensively
lynch - 7. solid, won a few headers and did well on the ground
el-abd - 6. gave away the ball a few times, but made up for it with a decent defensive performance
fraser - 6. did a decent job wide, although offered nothing in attack. wouldnt start him against gillingham, simply as its a home game
robinson - 7. few decent runs superb goal
o'callaghan - 8. absolute flair. lots of tricks, uses the ball superbly. anyone who thinks he shouldnt be in our team needs their head examining
hammond - 7. another solid game in midfield, drove the team on. good goal
forster - 8. superb again, holds the ball up well, brings others in, composed as you like
savage - 6. fell over way too much, although won a few headers

swindon were one of the worst teams i've seen this season, and the result was a perfect reflection

Kuipers 6: Not a single save to make, kicking was a bit poor.

Whing 8. Played very well, good distribution for once! Put his head where other men wouldn't dare!

ElAbd 7. Won the balls he needed to win and didn't give the Swindon strikers anything.

Lynch. 7. Ditto El Abd

Fraser 7. Made good work of the service he got.

O'Callaghan 7. This man has a great touch! Was showboating alot and made it look simple.

Hammond 6. Faded out of the game quite a bit but fantastic goal.

Robinson 6.5. Would give him a seven for the same reasons as O'Callaghan but he lost the ball alot in the first half. Beautiful finish for the second goal though.

Savage 6. Fumbles and clutters his way through but thats Bas!Won alot in the air and was a threat for their full backs.

Forster 7. Running the show at the moment, everything he touches turns to gold! Great goal for the opened, showed good pace although was not involved for part of the second half.

Subs:

Martot 4. Why?

Reid 5. Anonymous

Revell 6. Good flick from a cross and Forster should have scored, played well during the parts he was in.

Brighton fans 8.

Kuipers 7 caught the crosses and was good positionally when he needed to be. A couple of awful kicks but that's just being picky
Whing 8 I thought he had a great game today
El Abd 7 - defended well and did a great block just in front of us that drew applause
Lynch 7 - good solid game
Richards 6 - good work, made a good tackle early on
Fraser 7 - he tries for everything and gets forward as well.
O'Callaghan 7 looks almost casual and makes it look easy
Hammond 7 - pretty good game from him with a cracking goal
Robinson 8 - smashing goal, and could have had a couple more
Forster 9 - CLASS
Bas 7 - he makes me laugh and confuses the defence. He doesn't know what he's going to do next so how can they mark him. Won a few headers

Barrel of Fun

Abort, retry, fail
Kuipers - 6 - All he had to do was pick the ball out of the net and that was a Swindon player trying to pass it back to him for a goal kick - they couldn't even get that right!
Whing 7 - Busy and very solid.
El Abd 7 - Almost a bit suicidal at one point, but good showing from The Bomber
Lynch 7 - A decent showing compared to the Forest debacle.
Richards 7 - We must try and sign him.
Fraser 7 - Involved in plenty. Wasted possession a few times, but got stuck in.
O'Callaghan 10 - A ten for two moments of showboating alone!
Hammond 8 - Good game from the skipper and a classy finish.
Robinson 8 - A very good strike, but was guilty of wasting some decent attacking options, but not enough to damage his rating.
Forster 10 - I don't think you could better spend £75,000
Bas 6.5 - A bit cumbersome at times. Didn't really look at the fans as he was subbed off, a quick clap, but no love in. Is he going?

Revell, Reid and Martot - Not on long enough really.

Were Swindon crap or did we make them look crap? We obviously took the wind out of their sails with that early strike. Reminds me of us last season! The Blackpool game springs to mind.

The Hill of The Gun
The whole team - 8
The ref - 7 (Most of the decisions seemed to go in our favour)
The fans:
Brighton - 9
Swindon - 3 (What happened to the red card protest ? If the Swindon fans don't care about what's happening to their club , why should we?)

Kuipers 7: Couple of good catches, one good punch, but not a lot else to do. Kicking poor though.

Whing 8. Excellent.

ElAbd 7. Solid, good in the air too.

Lynch. 7. Good but a couple of aimless long balls.

Richards. 7. Good

Fraser 7. Superb running and didn't even put in some dodgy challenges which I expected, very good especially as out of position.

O'Callaghan 7. Pretty good, a few sloppy passes.

Hammond 7. A bit anonymous, but great goal, held position well.

Robinson 7. Some good stuff, sometimes frustrating. Great goal.

Savage 7. Not at his best, but made Jake's goal and was a threat.

Forster 8. Missed his Goal , good running.

I think everyone should lay off Martot too, he didn't actually do anything wrong.

I think everyone should lay off Martot too, he didn't actually do anything wrong.

That's the problem, if he didn't do anything wrong it was because he didn't do anything. And he was on the pitch for at least 20 mins.

He just does not impress me and brings nothing to the team.

He came on for Jake on the left. Personally I would have given Sam Rents a run out in that position for 20 mins.

The whole team played well and even those that had the occasional lapse (Lynch, El Abd, Richards and Robinson) more than made up for it. The subs all played their part and Reid was denied a well-worked team goal by a good challenge.

Although it looks like Swindon will do well to stay up on that showing, you can only beat who you're up against - and they almost got a point at Southend last weekend.

Can't believe the amount of people giving O'Callahan and Fraser the same rating.

Fraser did well, but is clearly not a right winger and offered us no attacking threat. Whilst O'Callahan dominated midfield, created the second goal with a sublime pass and was responsible for a lot of the attacks Brighton had.

Was also surprised that when Robinson was subbed he recieved a polite round of applause, having played very well and scoring a great goal. Whilst when Tommy Fraser was subbed, he recieved a standing ovation when in truth he didn't really offer much all game.

Kuipers 7 - Bit of a mix up with Richards, nothing else to do
Whing 7 - Played part in first goal, good again
El Abd 6 - Made a hash of a couple of things, sound otherwise
Lynch 9 - Great defender, showing form at last
Richards 7 - Little mix up with Kuipers which almost led to a Swindon goal, few good crosses
Fraser 7 - Suprised how well he played, good performance
O'Callaghan 9 - He is why we played so well, we've missed him the last few games MOM
Hammond 7 - Much improved, decent goal
Robinson 7 - Proved why he should be starting ahead of Maro
Forster 9 - Superb, he is BRILLIANT
Bas 7 - Better, seen better, but still good

Martot 6 - Gave him a 6 as i cant remember what he did!
Reid 6 - Almost set up that clown to score, still pleased to see him back
Revell 0 - f*** OFF
