We really didn't play very well. A real battering in the 2nd half and lucky to get three points. Probably deserved none based on that performance. If that's the best we can do we can forget the playoffs. Very poor. 40% possession against a team one place above the relegation places ... and the three teams below them have games in hand.

I couldn't figure out the problem today. Why exactly were Millwall able to keep us under such relenting pressure in the 2nd half? Why the panic at the back and the hoofing out of defence?

Kuszczack 6. He's worth an 8 for commanding the box, dealing with crosses and shot-stopping ... but his distribution is worth a 4 ... awful and getting worse, not better.
Bruno 7. Some flashes of brilliance, but his defending as usual is not consistent.
Greer 5. His distribution was poor. Gets as high as 5 for keeping a clean sheet.
Upson 6. Better than Greer, but the entire defence seemed to be in a state of panic for most of the game. He gets a 6 because of the clean sheet.
Ward 7. Defending OK (mostly) and his commitment to get forward was to be lauded, but he didn't always make the best use of the ball.
Andrews 6. Thought it was one of his best performances for us. Nothing brilliant, but an improvement.
Stephens 6. Did OK, but, as with most of his team-mates some very wayward passing.
David 5. Well taken penalty, but apart from that nothing to impress.
Orlandi 6. Some flashes of the old Orlandi, but nowhere near his best.
Lingard 7. Looks like he has real potential. Would have been nice if his team-mates passed to him in the 1st half so that we could see exactly what he could do.
Ulloa 7. Did his best with poor service. Didn't stop running. MOM

Subs:
Buckley 6. If he had been given the ball he might have done some damage.
JFC 7. Best I've seen from him for a while. Injected some energy and purpose into the team.
March 6. One or two very nice touches. Going to be a star.

I thought our midfield were off their game today, never really kept the ball and a bit light weight. Not sure what has happened to Andrews but not the same player that started the season.

Very interested to see the penalty as looked dubious to say the least from the away end.

I'd rather we played poorly and ground out an away win. We did the exact opposite last week.

Our goalkeeper didn't much to do ? Doubt he thought that was a quiet afternoon.

Had to catch many balls from crosses in a crowded box. I couldn't quite see but didn't he pull off an amazing save in the second from point blank range ?

Thought Ulloa was poor. His first touch particularly.

Oh, and the Brighton fans get a 9 for non-stop noise. Pity however that a good number seem to be more interested at hurling abuse at the Millwall supporters than watching the game.

Sky said it was nailed on, also said the game was rubbish

I was amazed when the ref pointed to the spot. It was fantastic to see the local neanderthals repeatedly going apoplectic today, as, for once, we appeared to have a ref who favoured us.

We didn't look like scoring after the penalty. We were very lucky to get three points out of that game.

They got that right, it was moribound to put it kindly but 3 points.

Oh and their keeper can do one big time, after whistle moaning like mad at the officials.

Preston Park
Great defensive display from the back 5. Leo had a great game too. The rest were really below average, especially Orlandi who clearly couldn't or didn't want to run.

Bruno 7 - brilliant first half
Ward 7 - MoM
Greer 6 - some poor passing
Upson 7
Andrews 5 too many sloppy errors
Stephens 6 good mixed with bad
Orlandi 7 great first half, ran out of steam
Lopez 5 - good pen, but seems to 'bottle' every 50/50, glimpses of class, but wasteful generally.
Lingaard 6
Ulloa 6

Buckley 5
JFC 6
March 6
