Wow!!

Kuszczak 6. Shot stopping good, but long-ball distribution poor.

Bruno 9. What a player. Some very fancy moves and confident on the ball. A big addition to the team.

Greer 8. Did little wrong. Won most in the air.

Dunk 6. Good except for two passes direct to opposition players. One lead directly to Chelsea's goal. The other could also have resulted in a goal, but for smart intervention by his team-mates. Worrying.

Calderon 8. Very good game. Seemd quite at home on the left.

Buckley 8. Excellent game up againt Ashley Cole. One miss-hit cross when we were in with a great chance. Assist for the 3rd goal and actually did all the work.

Bridcutt 8. Very solid game. Made some timely interceptions.

Dicker 8. Impressed. Did not give the ball away that I remember.

Crofts 8. Great to have him back. Excellent goal and made a very positive contribution in midfield.

Vicente 9. Caught on the ball a couple of times otherwise would be 10. Amazing player. Great goal.

Barnes 8. Very impressed with him today. Well taken goal. Worked hard up front, midfield, and sometimes as a defender.

Subs:
Noone 8. Some lovely runs.
Harley 7. Did nothing wrong. Better than I had expected.
Agdestein. Not on long enough.

Great game. Great result. Gives a very positive feeling for next season.

P.S. And a proper sport ... not all this Olympic rubbish ....

And Greer's attempt at an own goal? Did little wrong my arse!

As a central defender in a team which restricted the Champions of Europe to one goal (gifted by a team-mate), I think it is fair to assume he played well.

Spot on apart from I'd have given Dunk a 5 just for the severity of the two mistakes and Barnes a solid 9, he was immense. Shame for Dunk though as apart from the two mistakes I though he was great too.

Considering Crofts has been with the team for a day you'd have to say his performance was very impressive. Slipped into the formation very nicely.

Chelsea fan:

Another seriously great workout in the Florida Sun, there were a few players new to me that I hadn't seen before who were excellent.

I think the New blue and white striped shirts will take some getting used to especially when I had thought we were going to be playing in blue with Gold trim so that was a surprise but all in all a job well done against what looked like in all seriousness as an ill organised unmotivated bunch of Brighton Losers in their silly away kit of "Super-hero" black and yellow.

No disrespect intended but they'll last about 5 mins in the Championship with an attitiude like that.

:lolol:

Other observations:
- Vicente was our most advanced player most of the time. Gus playing a la Spanish national team?
- Where was LuaLua?
- CMS not fit?
- Sat in East Lower for the first time instead of WSU. Very nice. Prefer closer to the action. Might have to try to change my seats at some time.

I'd give Kuszczak a solid 7 he made some great stops, a couple of deflected shots that he got to even after being sent the other way, his distribution was alright but can improve, and although he flapped one shot in the first half he was confident at catching crosses and knew where his goal was all game, a big improvement on brez and can't wait to see what he can do when really tested

These questions and Bridge ? Poyet said 2 of the 3 would of played if a final . Assuming Bridge is having a few probs still . A concern

Barnes was my MOM - he looked great on the wing, great in defence, scored a cracking goal and was great at winding up the chelsea players.

Kuszczak 7 - a couple of smart saves, very good on crosses and corners - which was great to see a lot better than Brez and Ankergren but his passing and distribution was very poor.

Bruno 9 - Looked solid , a couple of backheels i think this guy could become a big fan favourite.

Greer 7 - Not as solid as usual and a unusual snap at clearance nearly an embarassing own goal.

Dunk 6 - poor game gave the ball away too easily when under no pressure, but did make up for it with a couple of good blocks, but i prefer el abd in defence

Calderon 8 - played very well on the left wing and im pleased as i like the guy, i personally would play Calderon instead of Painter if bridge is unavailable

Buckley 9 - class when got on the ball, this guy is premiership quality just needs to stop getting injuried.

Bridcutt 9 - very good on the ball and won a lot of tackles, do we need this midfield enforcer - im not sure anymore.

Dicker 8 - good game by dicker, what you expect of the guy.

Crofts 7 - good goal and a good player when on the ball but as expected isnt quite fit yet and not adapted to the way we play yet but this will come with time and im very confident will be what we need

Vicente 10 - The guy is immense, seriousally he was by miles the best player on the pitch - how lucky we are to have him, at times a bit slow on ball and lost ball but was exceptional bar his corners which were dreadful

Barnes 9 - Lethal finish by our best forward, he also worked his socks off and should be one of the first names on the teamsheet.

Subs:
Noone 7 - looked good running at defence, hopefully plays like he did before the first liverpool game as at end of last year was very poor.
Harley 7 - This is what we expected when got Harley, i guess he has got his head down in training and impressed Poyet as looked a better player today.
Agdestein. Not on long enough.
