I like to read the home report and then the away report because obviously TWO games are being played at once.

But reading NSC makes me realise that there are as many games going on as spectators in the ground, thus El Abd is great,or gash; we'd have won with FDM,Sullivan is great;Thompson was influential, where was he?etc etc.

I LOVE football!

he won most of the balls today but didnt know what to do with it when he had it.

I really didnt see it that way. We were totally over run in midfield for long periods. But hey, football is a game of opinions.

Sullivan - 6 - Steady without being spectacular
Whing - 7 - Required more support defensively, but coped manfully
Elphick - 7 - Solid performance, cannot be blamed for any of the goals
Hawkins - 6 - Lacks confidence, but I believe if his confidence returns there is the makings of a decent player and leader.
Richards - 7 - Championship quality
Thomson - 7 - Always looking for the ball and good distribution, very disciplined performance.
El-abd - 6 - Difficult game for him, but cannot fault his effort.
McLeod - 8 - Excellent, great attacking outlet, always causing their defence problems
Cox - 7 - Great goal
Virgo - 7 - Strong in the air, won plenty of flick ons, great foil for Fleetwood
Fleetwood - 7 - Electric pace caused them problems all day, needs a goal

All in all a very reasonable performance, draw was the least we deserved. Great Cup tie, two sides who wanted to attack, great advertisement for the F.A Cup early rounds, lets hope Micky and the boys can finish the job off tuesday week.

Sullivan - decent enough. SIX

Richards - Not bad, often exposed. SIX
Whing - Not at the top of his came passing wise but always committed. SIX
Elphick - Pretty decent but defence still let in three. SIX.
Hawkins - Terrible after a fairly decent start mainly due to the fact his style suited defending Hartlepool's more direct game. FOUR.

McLeod - Excellent goal. Did NOTHING else.Seemed to hide. FIVE.
Cox - Tried hard, decent finish for the goal. Not enough in the final third. SIX.
Thomson - Awful. How he is skipper I will never know. FIVE.
El Abd - Looked lost alongside the poor Thomson. FIVE.

Fleetwood - Better suited to ball on the floor. Does not like heading. SIX.
Virgo - NOT, I repeat NOT anything other than a defender. FIVE.
