A good first half performance although we faded in the second period... Referee was abysmal, and we were offside WAY too many times...

Ankergren - 7 - Did what he needed to do, no chance with well worked goal
Calderon - 7 - Nothing special, but got forward now and again and is clearly regaining his fitness
Elphick - 7 - One excellent tackle and a good performance
El Abd - 6 - Solid, but not as imposing as usual
Painter - 6 - Did ok
Smith - 6 - Clipped the bar in 2nd half but didnt see enough of the ball
Kish - 7 - Dominated proceedings until taken off, very composed on the ball and nice passes.
Dicker - 6 - Some good passes, didnt play as well as i would have expected
Bennett - 7 - Looked dangerous at times
Barnes - 5 - Never looked threatening unfortunately - but a willing runner
Murray - 7 - Had a couple of half chances and was offside too many times, but held ball up well

Subs - not enough time to rate although Baz had a good cut back for Murray late on.

Quite... It was when Kish went off that we started to lose the midfield battle which up until that point we had shaded.

Why he could do nothing with the goal and couldnt be blamed for it.

Thought Jamie Smith had his best game for us so far and it was when he went off that we lost midfield and any chance of pushing forward.

Ankergren - 7 - looked totally unconvincing, but made a couple of good saves in the second half to be fair
Calderon - 6 - not sure what's wrong with him, he doesn't seem to look interested. Quiet.
Elphick - 7 - a normal 'solid' elphick game, but both him and el-abd were done for the goal
El-abd - 6 - return of his trademark short backpass, dived around like a clown and booked too. Alright otherwise...apart from the goal.
Painter - 7 - yep, solid as ever - shame he's not more attacking though as we had f*** all down the left
Smith - 5 - don't really understand the hype to be honest. Some tidy passes, but he's not strong enough to be a central midfielder, and his game doesn't seem to involve hogging the touchline and crossing.
Dicker - 5 - overrun by Wednesday today
Kishishev - 6 - struggled before he was taken off - some good moments similar to last week, some dodgy passing though
Bennett - 6 - lively first half, anonymous in the second
Barnes - 2 - did he touch the ball more than twice? No pace, no vision, no goal threat. Worrying.
Murray - 6 - tried hard, some bright passing moments, but offside too much really

Bit harsh. I agree he never looked like scoring, but he did win some flick ons and did some excellent defending from set pieces. Covered a fair bit of ground.

Ankergren 7 - Made a few good saves, one questionable punch but I think people are looking for reasons to slag him off just now.

Calderon 6 - Improved as the game wore on, looked a bit off the pace at the start.

El-Abd 5 - Won sod all in the air, lacks a bit of pace and did cheat in the Mellor incident.

Elphick 7 - One brilliant interception in second half, solid enough otherwise.

Painter 6 - Was very lucky not to get booked IMO. Got forward well though. Really feared for him after the tackle, looked in a lot of pain.

Bennett 6 - A little bit quiet, had a good shot and decent cross for Smith chance.

Dicker 5 - Usually good in possession but Sheff were good at pressurising off the ball today, so he lost it quite a few times.

Kishishev 7 - Aside from a few misplaced passes, was the central figure for us from midfield, everything went through him. Becoming a crucial player.

Smith 7 - Like a new signing. Good setup for Murray, maybe could have kept shot down in second half.

Barnes 4 - We would have been better off playing an extra midfielder today. Barnes offered very little.

Murray 6 - Busy enough, should have scored in second half.

Batti 5 - Definitely potential, but seems to lack confidence and pace.

Baz 5 - A few nice touches, wanted to get involved.

Ankergren - 6 - Good saves but always cack it when a cross comes in.

Calderon - 5 - Wasn't at his best
El-abd - 5 - Apart from getting done for the goal him and Elph were ok.
Elphick - 5 -
Painter - 6 -After he got booked he stopped fouling everyone and was decent.

Smith - 6 - Unlucky not to score, some people may say too weak but I think he will get better and better with more games.
Dicker - 5 - Couldn't get into it
Kishishev - 6 - Solid
Bennet - 5 - Backed up Calderon well on Teale most of the time, but going forward his end product was poor, a number of crosses rarely found anyone.

Barnes - 4 - Looked a bit lost as to where he was playing, and Purse dominated him.
Murray - 6 - Was one of the few who could make something happen, but probably should have scored/created a goal once or twice.

Is it just me, but Murray looks a bit on the slow side?
Kish is 60 minutes of class.
We do not look like scoring. 2 clear chances, Smith and Murray, and no goals.
And who was that woman?

Ankergren - 7 - Made some excellent saves and hard to fault overall
Calderon - 6 - Getting closer to last season's standards. Gave the ball away a couple of times but his general mobility is getting back to what it was.
Elph - 7 - Solid, typical Tommy performance
El Abd - 7 - Another good solid game. Deserves to keep his place.
Painter - 6 - By his high standards a below-par performance in first half. Gave away a couple of free kicks in dangerous positions.
Smith - 5 - Never really imposed himself on the game
Kish - 6 - Generally good on the ball but gets caught in possession too often (as was the case in the lead up to their goal)
Dicker - 8 - My MOM for us. Some great passes and interceptions. Covered a lot of ground.
Bennett - 7 - Another good game and part of the majority of our best moves. Really hope we can hang on to him.
Barnes - 4 - Out of position as part of a 5 man midfield, but offered very little. Offside too often
Murray - 5 - Just OK. Did his bit without ever looking a real threat. Like Barnes, offside too often
