Navarro 7?!! Please enlighten me as to what exactly he did to warrant that rating? He was a 4 for me.

He was the main man breaking down Colchester's play, as far as I could see.

He combined this by looking composed on the ball, and being tidy in his distribution.

All opinions anyway

Bennett and McNulty stood out for me. Tunnicliffe looked sound but not sure about the second goal (it was so damn fast). El Abd........never seen a defender subbed within 20 minutes before.

Brezovan 6 - claimed crosses comfortably. no chance with goals. a few dodgy kicks.
Hoyte 6 - looks average at this level. i like him, but not sure he's going to make it at arsenal.
Elphick 7 -one of his best performances of the season. great tackles.
Tunnicliffe 6 - did ok, struggled early on with their big number 9.
Mcnulty 8 - quality. stopped everything coming down that side. great going forward, flair stepovers.
Bennett 6 - fairly quiet, good freekick though. wasn't too impressed with his corner delivery.
Crofts 6 - broke up play well. one real crunching tackle on o'toole was awesome.
Dicker 6 - a few dodgy passes nearly played us into trouble. nice header for goal.
Navarro 4 - poor. caught out of position, too slow, contributed nothing. should have been subbed much earlier. i'm an sth, and have seen nothing from him so far to warrent a place in the team.
Forster 6 - not one of his better games. plenty of effort, but no real chances to score.
Murray 5 - not a great game. his first touch was really lacking last night. how he missed that chance from 5 yards is beyond me.

Dickinson 6 - ran at defenders, and looked lively.
Cox 5- came on but didnt really do much. had a couple of chances to get the ball in the box but fluffed crosses.

forgot to add that Navarro got absolutely raped for their second goal. turned his back on the ball and the winger went past him like he wasnt there. so actually i'll change his rating to 3.

Brezovan 6 Confident in catching no chance with goals.
Hoyte 5 Nothing remarkable good or bad.
Tunnicliffe 6 Does not attack the ball and lets it bounce too often.
Elphick 5 Basck to old ways of hoofing but defensively ok.
El Abd 0 Went off injured too early to judge.
Navarro 5 Broke up the attacks of Colchester best game so far for us.
Croft 5 Quiet game no so influential as usual.
Dicker 8 MOM so reliable count the times he lost the ball or a bad pass on one hand.
Bennett 6 Tended to play in fits and starts not consistent but allround ok.
Forster 5 Plenty of running but missed chances he would normally have taken.
Murray 7 Lead the line well and with a little bit more luck could have scored 2 or 3.

subs;

McNulty 7 Gave the deefence some balance and an outlet to attack.
Dickenson 5 Did ok when he came on but nothing of note.
Cox 5 Not on long enough to have an influence.

El Abd was injured I thought and we only had ten men on pitch when they scored second with Navarro briefly filling in at left back until Mcnulty belated introduced after second goal. Or am I completely wrong? Anyone clear this up?

For the record I think ratings on here are being unfairly negative for most part. Apart form the first horrific 15 minutes we played well generally and showed a lot of promise. Certainly deserved at least a point on that performance. Dicker, Mcnulty, Crofts all particularly good. Strikers not sharp enough in front of goal.

It looked as though he had blood pissing out a head wound to me.

I think what you meant to write was: Murray 4, fancy dan flicks with no real effort or physical presence, so couldn't lead the line. Offside too often and missed some sitters.

Define understand. Murry was shocking last night. Back to his lazy indifferent worst. And how was he unlucky not to have scored, particularly when the defender obligingly fell over in front of him when he was in the six yard box. Presumably the poor dear was too distressed by the sight to manage a toe poke past the goalkeeper.

No point in arguing with you as you are obviously one of those with their head in the sands and can only see bad in Murray. He played really well last night and I assume GP will be pleased with his allround effort, work rate and skill which was let down by one miss which hit the post and on another day would have gone in and a goalkeeper who had a charmed life.

A repeat performance from Glen every week will do me with the added luck that is needed by a striker.

Not sure why I am the one with my head in the sand, although your knowledge of football is manifestly far greater than mine. As Arnold Palmer memorably said, (roughly) "Isn't it funny, the harder I work the luckier I get".
