(yes, the Notts is supposed to be there...)

Sanchez 6 - no problems, nothing to do

Veltman 6 - had a little problem with the bounces and touches but overall did ok
Dunk 8 - was perhaps the main reason Nottingham didnt create anything, solid display
Webster 7 - is forced to use his left foot a bit more than he likes but overall did fine with some nice interceptions

March 7 - Neco Williams was really good but Solly gave him a good challenge. Industrious.
Mac 7 - controlled midfield but attacking contribution was not what it could have been
Caicedo 8 - won a lot of ball
Trossard 5 - fine first half, very poor in the second - lost a few challenges and went into hiding

Gross 5 - anonymous and his set pieces were often so-so
Lallana 7 - opened up defense with his slick passing and the team dropped a level when he went off

Welbeck 5 - some nice passes and touches but is battling some demons and does not look confident when getting chances. Might need a little break.

Lamptey 6 - got into duels with Neco 5 or 6 times and won about half of them with decent crosses as result
Undav - played to little, but had a nice one-two with Webster (?) in the final minutes

Generous...
Didn't concede any real chances, dominated midfield, created quite a few good chances.
Yeah I know football forums like to give everyone 3/10 when you lose (or draw a shit side) and 9/10 when you win (or draw vs a good team) regardless of how the game looked but I'm not really into that. It was a pretty decent performance, goals aside.

Sanchez 7

Dunk 8 - covered some crazy Webster decisions. The glue at the back.
Webster - 5.5
Veltman - 7

Mac Allister 6 - a shadow of the ‘£70m player’ (my judgement) of April to Sept 22.
Caicedo 7.
Lallana 6 - short passing game and creativity was fine first half, zero gas in the second.
March 8 - created, but no movement or runs in the box.
Gross 4 - Anonymous.
Trossard 6 - first half dangerous, second half stood still centre left.

Welbeck 4 - offered little.

Lamptey 6 - every time he plays he’s seen as the world class saviour. That performance at SJP was 2 or 3 years ago.

Undav 4 - anonymous.

Fiveways
Sanchez 6
Veltman 6
Dunk 7
Webster 6 -- has been tasked with being aggressive and trying to win the ball, carry the ball, and commit the opposition, while Dunk and Veltman clean up behind him
Caicedo 7
Mac Allister 6
Lallana 4 -- did next to nothing, slow
Gross 5
March 7.5 MotM -- terrorised them in the first half, great engine second and continued to cause them problems, still needs to develop zen-like calm at the crucial moments
Trossard 5 -- need him to get creating; he plays well, we tend to win
Welbeck 4.5 -- CMSesque first touch last night

Subs:
Lamptey 5 -- didn't contribute much, some poor crosses when well positioned
others n/a

Agree with those marks.

Not sure if you need a history lesson here. Cloughie went mental when Forest were referred to as Notts Forest, it’s reserved for Notts County. Forest are Nottingham Forest

Pretty much this, Groß now with his 3rd 5-6 rated performance in a row after looking really good this season and about as frustrated I have seen him when he came off. Wellbeck seems to have lost his first touch which is usually one of his strongest attributes.

Let’s hope both can return confidence and form shortly as when both are on it our play in the final third is so much more effective

Never mind Clough, try talking to anybody from Nottingham.
Always a pain when having a conversation that switches back and forth between Notts' performances in the County Championship and Forest's performances in the Championship.

So they discount Notts County FC all together. How the mighty have fallen. I saw county lose 3-1 to Dorking Wanderers last month. To think we played them in a fairly packed Wembley back in the nineties!

To be honest, I've not often had cause to discuss Notts County with anybody.
I gather (and I should emphasise that I've never knowingly actually met a Notts supporter) that they're all convinced that there's a big rivalry with Forest, while all the Forest fans go around vaguely wanting them to do well (and wondering if they can borrow the "oldest club in the Football League" sign while Notts aren't in it). Which is always a sign that your team is crap.

Sanchez 7 - One superman corner but otherwise, could have gone for a bath after about 30 mins

Veltman 6 - Did ok but was put under a lot of pressure at times
Dunk 7 - Had his work cut out in the first half keeping up with Johnson but did well
Webster 7 - Again, probably our driving force going forward and performed well

March 7.5 MoM - Worked hard, created chances for our ghost attackers
Mac Allister 7 - Sat very deep for a lot of the game but was very strong in possession
Caicedo 7 - Very good 1st half but I felt he tired a bit in the 2nd
Trossard 5 - Currently in one of his AWOL patches that usually happens this time of year

Gross 6 - Heavily involved in the 1st half but drifted out of the game 2nd
Lallana 7 - Looked most likely to find the killer pass through the middle, was a little surprised he was the one who made way

Welbeck 5 - A rare off game. He could have played for another 90 without scoring and seemed well of the pace

Lamptey 6.5 - Confidence grew as he went on. Similar to March though in as much as quite often he was aiming into an empty box
Undav 6 - No real chance to make an impact but did a decent burst into the box to create a chance

Harsh, I reckon.

Sanchez - 6 Very little to do but one dodgy moment with the ball at his feet and another from a cross!

Dunk 8 - Did well against a pacey forward and very solid
Webster - 6 Missed a good chance. Good going forward but a bit of a worry at times at the back
Veltman - 7.5 Mr reliable!

Mac Allister 5 - I honestly forgot he was playing for a long time.
Caicedo 7. Looking very good and works really hard.
Lallana 6 - Very tidy but will never score for us.
March 8 - Looked a real threat at times and works well defending too. Just needs to learn to score more than once in 2 years.
Gross 5- Think Potter played him in a better position and de Zerbi doesn't. Can see him being dropped.
Trossard 6 -What happened to the Liverpool version? Pretty good 1st half vanished for most of the 2nd. Weird that March moved inside when Lamptey came on.
Welbeck 4 - Works hard but totally ineffective in the 6 yard box!

Lamptey 6 - Definitely has lost pace and confidence. When he tried to go round the outside he rarely beat the defender.

Undav 4 - No time to do anything. Far too late as a substitution.

de Zerbi - 6 I like the style of football but we must learn to play forwards more quickly and he needs to be much more decisive with subs. Last few minutes is for timewasting when you are winning or hanging on for a draw.
