Starting a revolution from my bed
Any predictions or anyone had a punt on it?

Got 20-1 on Schweinsteiger a few days ago which I'm pretty content with, he's been superb so far. Iniesta is the 8-1 favourite with Gomez at 9's; if you reckon England will go all the way then it could be worth a dabble on Joe Hart at 100-1, while Gerrard at 33's seems decent - if England do well then he will be pivotal to any success, IMO.

Iniesta has been immense. Very impressed with him so far. However anyone suggested above is a good shout in my opinion. Would be interesting to know how often a goalkeeper has won PotT award.

Really? I thought he's looked tired and uninspired so far. Obviously, he's an incredible footballer but I've watched a lot of La Liga this season and I don't think Iniesta is playing as well as he did for Barcelona. It's a long old season. I think it was Iniesta's through ball to Torres for El Nino's second against the Irish though to be fair. I'm not saying he wouldn't be a worthy winner, the whole thing is a popularity contest anyway, but I think it would be tough on Schweinsteiger and Mario Gomez who have been the standout players for me so far.

I thought Alan Dzagoev of Russia looked very good, but they're out so it's curtains for him. Petr Jiráček has been fantastic for the Czech Republic, his goal to beat Poland was fantastic and his goal earlier in the tournament wasn't bad either. He might have a shout.

Haven't watched him in La Liga much but if he plays better than he did in the last two games, i'm surprised Barca didn't win it tbh. He never seems to loose the ball, is great at dribbling, pretty pacey when needs be and can obviously pick out and execute a great pass. I'd have liked to see Sneijder progress further than Netherlands did he was very good against Denmark, would love to see him in the Premier League one day.

Iniesta has looked outstanding in the first 2 games. He seems to have the beating of everyone, whether it be his quick turns and movement, his through balls or his dribbing. It will be interesting to see how teams try to neutralise him the further this contest goes on.

I think everyone is suprised Barcelona didn't win it! But Real Madrid were an absolute machine this season, right from the start their focus was spot on and they needed over 100 points and 100 goals to make sure they did win it. Iniesta is an incredible player. Absolutely incredible. Sneijder is very much in that same mould of player, he never loses the ball. I would love to see him in the Premier League too, but I suspect it won't happen. And I would rather that than a 37 year old Sneijder coming over for a last pay day, as it looks like Del Piero is going to do.

Mario Mandzukic of Croatia.

Three goals so far and looks likely to get a big move in the summer after his impressive tournament so far. No one had barely heard of him before the start as he was in to replace the injured Ivica Olic. Hopefully more impressive perfomances and goals to come if Croatia continue to surprise pundits.

If Russia had had a more sustained run in the competition, I think Alan Dzagoev would have been a serious contender.

For me it was always going to be Mario Gomez's tournament. It helps when you have players such as Ozil and Schwinstiger supplying the passes but top scorers don't always win such awards.

Milan Baros...

How anyone so shite can convince a manager to play him in an international football match has a unique talent

Little mention for Theodor Gebre Selassie.

Real quality. Just like the Czech Republic's very own Ashley Cole, albeit on the right side rather than the left.
