I'm crap at DIY.

My mission this bank holiday is to decorate a freshly (well two and abit weeks ago) plastered wall.

I've read about giving it a first coat of emulsion mixed with water. Is this the way to go or should I use some of that watery plaster sealer?

What does NSC think?

*edit* titile should read - painting a plastered wall. FFS - I'm a genius at this DIY stuff

In my computer
watered down flat white wall paint, sort of a skim/undercoat coat, then you'll see if there are any bits that need a sand/touch up and if there isn't then in an hour or so a good coat of straight paint...

The most curious thing..
Seal it with the watery paster sealer stuff. Paper it with thick lining paper. Paint the lining paper (2 or 3 coats). That way you avoid see the cracks and faults in the plaster as it gets older.
