Planning Response

has anybody else received a response to their Prescott letter from the Planning Inspectorate based in Bristol saying:

"thank you for your letter but although the Inspector is appointed by the First Secretary of State the inquiry is held on behalf of Brighton and Hove Council. It is not normal for the inspector to comment on correspondence once the inquiry has ended. In the circumstances you may wish to bring your points to the attention of B&H Council asking them to take them into account in considering the Inspector's report and we are forwarding your letter to them accordingly."

What the FCUK does this mean and why does a letter I write using an address posted on the Albion website end up back with the local council and not Prescott??

This is about the fourth NSC thread on this topic.

The answer to the question is that the early letter campaign was about the Report of Charles Hoile on the Local Plan Inquiry. It is for the City Council, not John Prescott, to respond to Mr Hoile's report. That is why the letters have been passed on to the City Council.

The latest letter writing campaign is more specifically about the Albion's Planning Application, which has been the subject of a separate Report by John Collyer to the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister. Letters about that matter will presumably be dealt with by the ODPM in a different way.
