Think I have said this before but from an Engineering / Quality point of view they spend just as much per aircraft than say BA or bmi.

Its just their WANKER of a CEO that expects everybody to pay for things apart from him.

Lets face it your opinion is a qualified one but I couldn't agree more.

I regularly fly with Ryanair and i've not found any problem with them. You get what you pay for......i'd rather pay less for my flight leaving me more cash to spend at my destination

But that's the whole point with the Ryanair business model. If anything really did go wrong (plane bust, fog, ice), you wouldn't get to your destination. Or possibly back from it.

That's happened to me, and I was offered flights the following day from hundreds of miles away (no accomodation), or from the same place in four days' time. In the end I paid for another flight myself on another airline as I had to be back for work. No compensation, of course. I don't think there is even a phone or fax number for complaints with Ryanair.

Overall, I'm still happy with the trade-off. Many cheap flights, one real nightmare. But you don't know just how wrong it can go with Ryanair until it really happens - and it's grim.

Personally unless the firm is paying I don't fly much but because of that I would rather pay a bit extra. Makes a difference when going long haul. For a start when I was trotting to and from the US American were my airline of choice as they had more leg room. Short haul its not quite as bad but Ryanair are cheap but from what I've heard, not at all cheerful.
