After all the chat about the safety level this season, I thought I would have a look at the points totals after 15 games since 2014. Enjoy.

And relegated teams had no more than 16 points at this stage:

14/15 QPR 14 Hull 13 Burnley 12

15/16 Newcastle 13 Norwich 13 Villa 6

16/17 Middlesbrough 15 Hull 12 Sunderland 11

17/18 Stoke 16 WBA 13 Swansea 9

Safety is not nailed on but would have to be an almighty loss of form for us to be in trouble.

It took me 2 or 3 seconds to work out why we are only in two of those tables. Does that mean (in my tiny mind, at least) we are now like Palace, an 'established PL club'???

So in 2016 we would be in 7th with 21 points.

This season's bottom six have a combined total eleven points lower than any of the previous five seasons: an average of 2 or 3 points less per team.

This season there are 7 teams on less than 1 point per game.

Not sure if this signifies that they are unusually crap or that the top teams have become so dominant, there's less points to go around for the rest. 2015 and 2016 for example had a much more even spread across the league.

We are all starting to adjust to life in the top tier but never forget, there are only 6-7 teams guaranteed to survive at this level, for the forseeable future and we are definitely not one of those.

Watford have managed to be a good mid table side since promotion, so why not us?

Is there a particular website you get this information from? I used to use one that gave you previous league tables round by round, but can’t remember what it was called!

The Premier League one is good. You can filter year by year and Matchday week.

You are only ever one bad season away from relegation and this is the case for 10-12 teams in PL. Burnley being the case in point, not saying they will go down after an excellent season last year but there is a risk. Teams need to constantly adapt and bring in fresh players or teams suss you out too quickly.

It seemed my attempt at Stat Brother style humour went the way of most of Statbrother's humour :lolol:
