Pitch Inspection on Thursday

A pitch inspection will be held at Withdean at 1pm on Thursday to determine whether Saturday's home game with Brentford can go ahead.

The surface is currently frozen, while the pitch covers are under a thick layer of snow.

The approaches to the stadium are also covered in snow.

The inspection will be carried out by referee assessor and former Football League referee Clive Penton.

The teams cannot be training at present, I imagine its more about fans/team travelling and safety of people around the ground if compacted snow turns to ice.

The ground when I have been walking the dog is like rock as well.

good decision to have it early IMO, the lack freeze after snow before Xmas was a f***ing nightmare.

Seems odd to decide so early - I guess if there is no thaw predicted by the weekend then it is as good as off now.
